Mine didn't fit flush and they were OEM Toyota ones.. Could be age of plastic or how the other person handled them...
Mine doesn't line up either and the right side doesn't even have screws in it yet... Basically I used sikaflex and double sided tape to put them in the exact position I wanted and then masking taped the on.. 10mins later I drove to. Toyota meet LOL masking tape and all xD Mine also look identical to those This post has been edited by rentaspace: Jul 16, 2013 - 8:13 AM -------------------- ------------------------------| White '94 Celica | Bought 11/05/12 | Sold 12/05/15 |------------------------------ |

Here's the pictures I took today.
The passenger side. The drivers side. The passenger side with the screw off and putting pressure to best fit or try to make it sit flush but doesn't. The drivers side with the screw off and putting pressure to best fit or try to make it sit flush but doesn't. -------------------- |

Something isn't right somewhere. Exactly why it makes me think these were for the coupes. It shouldn't be this off if it was for the liftbacks. I would like to test fit these on another coupe. Hoping there'll be a coupe at the upcoming meet and they'll let me test fit them on their car. -------------------- |

That or keep them in the car and if you see a coupe just test fit it on the spot. It has to be they're the coupe ones. Even with a little deformation from age they wouldn't be that far off.

Liftbacks are 174", where coupes are 177". The difference in length is all behind the rear wheels. If those were coupe splitters, they would be much more than half an inch too long.

That's nowhere as bad as Silly's gap though.
Hmm, aftermarket rear bumper cover perhaps? Are there any accidents reported on it? -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

My gap was worse until I put them on and used force to mold them to shape... The gap remained until I put the screws in, which then brought it to a tiny gap... I was so worried about damaging them though when I did this... >.< -------------------- ------------------------------| White '94 Celica | Bought 11/05/12 | Sold 12/05/15 |------------------------------ |

Like line the string along the seam? Then measure it with a measuring tape? So I can get the correct/exact measurements for your coupe trd rears and compare it to mines. I have a hatch, not a coupe. I posted that picture for example purpose only. I posted my liftback splitter measurements on the first page.

Measuring the inside, my liftback splitters came out to be around 19". Pictures just to show my points of measurement. Measured mine and it came out to be roughly 21 inches. So more than likely mines are for the coupes. -------------------- |

Actually, looked at the side by side comparison shots with my car in your sale thread and now I'm not so sure Find somebody nearby with a coupe and test fit to settle this thing
Looked again, I think you may be right. As you said in the other thread, the give away is the curve on the top edge. Your 21" splitters as opposed the 19" splitters I have sounds like it could very well be for a coupe then. All the pictures I've seen so far have been after you had them screwed in place so fitment doesn't look that far off. Do you have any pictures of them held up to the car but not mounted so we can see how far out they stick on their own? It'd be nice if some coupe TRD splitter owners had some measurements.

Here are a couple of good pics of JaQb_CK's TRD splitters.
And now a pic of yours: The biggest difference I see right offhand is that yours come way closer to the center of the car than the others. The others start to wrap around the rear of the bumper, where yours keep going, so yours are very likely for a coupe. -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates.
