Can't really tell from the picture if the scratches are down to the metal or not. If they aren't they might just polish out.

I can't wait for the meet to see this thing. I want my girlfriend to see a decked out Celica in full glory. So she understands my sickness lol

That sucks about the rim. But you know what's worse?

Curbing them yourself. I may or may not have done that recently.

Anyway, your experience only strengthens my distrust of shops. You better believe I'm pulling my motor before handing off the shell for paint!

Lol if she wants to see a fully decked out Celica, fortunately Dustin and Steff will be there. My Celica is a LONG way away from being worthy of anything.

I do enjoy your random gifs. I have no idea where you get them from, but they are hilarious.

Good luck with the wiring Daniel; are you guessing that a splice may have shorted/cut the wiring to the taillights?

Not that I have found yet. I'm sure it's something like that. I cut off the plugs for my factory sidemarkers and extended the harnesses up to the projectors. Since they were in my fenders, I'm guessing that my connections got pulled apart and probably patched back together quickly without bothering to check and make sure they were right. Usually not a big deal, except that I can no longer easily get to those wires. I'll have to check on it Saturday morning, I guess.

The scratches aren't gouged into the metal, but they're definitely through the finish and can't be polished out. They did put some minor scratches in the metal, but nothing serious. I'm more just upset about how pristine these wheels were when I dropped the car off and how this one looks now.

Ferdi- I had the hatch and door jambs resprayed, but we left the engine bay black. No point in paying extra and going through all the extra work for the engine bay. I don't trust any mechanic apart from close friends under my hood, but I know body work is well beyond my skill. Apparently I can't trust other people to do that either. kindasad.gif

Thanks Cameron! That's part of why I like the wheels so much. I'm building the car with the intentions of keeping the car looking as though it came out of the factory like this.

I will eventually. Gotta snap some decent pictures of the car first. Maybe tomorrow if the weather stays nice.

Little update, I took some things apart and started looking for the short in my wiring and figure out why my tail lights weren't working. I didn't find any issues, but somehow they magically work again. Beats me, I didn't see anything wrong anywhere in the wiring. Oh well, I guess I'll just wait it out and see how long it lasts. Finished cleaning the interior and got all the dust from the body shop. Replaced my front speakers with Alpine Type R's and swapped subs out between the Celica and the Murano. Installed my window mounted antenna, which works great. It's an amplified antenna so it uses the power that made the stock antenna go up and down. Wiring and mounting it was easy, and so far reception is great. No pictures of anything, maybe I'll take it out for a photoshoot tomorrow.

Could be a break somewhere in the wiring or a connector. That or if there's an exposed spot causing it to short out. Either way, at least they're working again.

That's just it, I can't find any issues at all in my wiring. I'm dumbfounded but oh well, at least everything is working for now. Still need to take it out for a good drive, as I've only been able to drive it once. Eventually I'll get to drive it again...

It makes me like white more than red, which really wasn't hard to begin with. tongue.gif With the roof and tag bezel being black it makes me want to paint your mirrors black too.

Looks fantastic! White is such a great colour for the GT-4 body.

I'll probably stick with red when I finally get mine done, but man, your car looks REALLY good. biggrin.gif

What soft side? I'm a manly man who would never take pictures like that. And I quote:
