Pretty pathetic... Right? . . . Well, my little package from China got here today while I was at work.... And, for a mere 30usd... About 30mins.... And a little cursing followed by some wire splicing... Bam! And now, i'll be able to see at night .. Once the cars legal in Oct She'll be worth the wait... I know it... well, had a few days off this week... got bored, and got seriously meticulous with the st204.
i made up a few collages to illustrate how far and quickly shes come, considering the budget i've had so far. (note: there are no filters or Vaseline on these photos... just good lighting lol ) disregard the faded tint in the one, its all been scraped off by now. cars been driven... why lie? lol so, degreasing and pressure washing did two things, 1.blew the paint off the block(oops.), 2. revealed some less-than-professional gasket replacements... so besides, tires, struts, springs, strut mounts, and the rear motor mount (def gonna put it on the lift for all that) she still needs: a full tune up, gaskets, and a seafoaming. (although not necessarily in that order) oh, and slip a cat somewhere in this hacked exhaust for the time being as well. my goal is to keep the 5-sfe running for another year or two, until i can muster the extra coin for a 3sgte+beefier tranny combo. (mr2? camry v6? ) but, seeing these pictures up; side by side, is an inspiration to see this project through... seeing as how i still cant drive it out of the parking lot... yet. *hmf* its okay, it gives me time to bring her back to her (mostly) usdm self in the meantime... but, till next update guys... -------------------- |

from an engineering standpoint, toyota really outdid themselves... im shocked as to how well these hold up over years of sustained abuse. made back when import manufacturers were trying to prove something...

OOk, a few things happened lately,
1 Got my ebrake fixed. (not gonna bore anyone with that P.I.A story ) 2 my engine Bay is now at "acceptable" cleanliness levels 3 received and installed the LED kit from neogauges. Soo worth the wait from Australia! It really is a Night and say difference. She's almost to the point that I can justify knocking out some body work, and spray her one color. Suspension is a priority, but only after I give her some proper oil pan, valve cover, and distributor cap gaskets. *sigh* Im excited to see how these cars drive in proper, functioning order. ...and with some wheel spacers too, probably .
