Hey guys

I have a weird problems with my brakes...

When i brake over a bump, or when i pull off the side of the road and brake a weird like crunching noise is heard, and i can feel it in my brake pedal. Like if i brake on a judder bar or something similar it does it then too. It doesn't do it with normal driving, and braking distance hasn't changed, nor does it squeak when i brake.

Ideas? Or anything i should be looking out for?

Liam

test and inspect your brake system, check if something is sticking like your calipers, or something is loose, or your shims are moving around, shouldn't be too hard. be observant about noise and location.

ABS? You reckon? I did think that, but it doesn't seem right.

Personally i haven't been able to have a look myself, as i would have no idea. But when i got my new Tyre's and Alignment the other day, they did a check of my suspension and brake system and nothing was noted.

There is a TSB(technical service bulletin) on this noise if the sound is what i am getting from your description it is the caliper slide pins that need to be lubricated along with the ears of the pads, they say it is due to moisture and brake dust depending on how long you have gone on these brakes pads.
