1997 models that were sold in 1996.

Yes. Mine was built in September '96.

Today I drove my Celica, and enjoyed it like I should. A few days ago I painted the center caps red.

Started my maintenance today;

Found oil on top of one of the spark plugs:

It brought this much oil up 6-7 times:

We also couldn't remove the fuel filter as the nuts have fused together kindasad.gif
So gonna take it to the mechanic to get them to deal with it kindasad.gif

I received a new lung in the mail today.

I ordered it on Sept 5th, inquired about it on the 17th since I had not received a tracking # from Japan. It got sent on the same day, and arrived yesterday! Super quick shipping, aside from my processed order sitting in their inbox for 12 days.

The fuel filter is a royal pain in the ass, as it seems no one ever replaces them. Mine still had the original filter with 190,000 miles on it...

Fresh paint and finished front end! Still got rear end, rear quarter windows, rear window and interior to finish. It was painted in the original Toyota yellow colour and it is like a day and night if I'm looking before and after pictures biggrin.gif

Somehow I think yellow works on the Celica better than red.

Today I installed my projectors, and re-plastidipped my bumper. I'm in love with the lights. It took me a bit to get everything together and to convert them(thanks to my brother), but it was worth it. Tomorrow my brother and I will put everything back together and I'll probably get some better pics too.

I think the reason yellow works well is that from the front is has a Porsche-esque vibe going for it.
