...I got rear-ended (which happens to be my first auto accident).

I now have a Honda logo stamped into my bumper. Fun.

What is is with Honduhs smashing into our cars lately? It's like they're jealous or something.

Well there's a very strong chance I'll be keeping the Celica for now. Can't find anything, and when I do the car has been neglected... Shame, had someone call me enthusiastically searching for a 6GC. I'll spare everyone the embarrassment of knowing the demographic buying our cars.

Brian, I hope you aren't injured in the least and that Suzukaze will be repaired and back on the road in no time.

Well, did some looking and apparently I couldn't even replace my car with another 6GC if I sold it for what I'm asking. No wonder that old lady(oops) sounded so excited on the phone. My thought was that I could at least pick one up in black, and then redo everything I did to mine.

On the bright side I found an '86 300ZX for $800 I might be getting as a toy.

Thanks guys; it's not too bad - mostly cosmetic.

If anything I'll get the rear bumper stripped and repainted/cleared but I won't know until I get the car looked at by the adjuster.

Started my car up to go to work and it started up funny and idled funny. Like as if there was a vacuum leak somewhere. Also smelt hot metal or either exhaust. I'm thinking it was the exhaust weld since that was the last engine maintenance I had done. Won't know until I diagnose it when I wake up in several hours! frown.gif

Not like it's a huge deal, but I found out that you can use a 1997 camry bulb holder, or whatever it's called, for the turn signals in our celica's. It's just angled instead of sticking straight out, but yeah. woo. yippee.

Held my own against a big rig. Dumb fùcker tried to pass illegally, I'm not about to die because of your dumb ass being late... Wish had been able to see the company name on the door, but it was dark.

That aside I found a semi-fun road to drive on, so wooo.

Picked up Sara's car today. Found the records for all dealer repairs for the past few years. Lots of major things fixed and makes me feel better about the car. It also has a working antenna! Like it actually moves up and down! Mine won't even make noise.

The bad, figured out what the noise was in the rear. She has a bad strut mount. It's completely rotted through. So we need to source some rear suspension. Does anyone have a used rear set that they'd part with for cheap? Just looking to get it on the road first.

When all of my suspension was done all the old stuff was chunked, otherwise I'd send it to you.

Ehh, might be able to use a thick sheet of rubber for the time being just to keep it off the metal. Perhaps a local home or auto supply store would have something for cheap.
