G'day,
A friend of mine has a ST205 hood and bumper(front) and has offered to sell them to me. He has not, however, given me a price so here is my problem. Would someone please enlighten me with some reasonable prices to expect to pay? I'm a broke student so I don't want to spend too much however I would love to have these parts on my car ( even though I have a ST202 ) Also would you mind stating the currency you're talking about. Sorry if I've broken any forum rules or posted in the wrong section, still not used to forums Anyway thanks for your time, Tom This post has been edited by TomC: Nov 17, 2013 - 6:32 AM |

In Australia for a decent set you are looking at roughly $350 each ($AUD). Since there is a much greater import market of st205's in NZ I only imagine they would be cheaper there. -------------------- SOLD :( 1997 ST204 Celica ZR -----> See it here on 6GC! 2013 October Celica of the Month XD Now: '00 NB8B Mazda MX5 -----> See it here in off topic! |

And if you can get the bonnet latch aswell, ST205 is a bit longer than a ST202.
Build a SS-Four front. -------------------- |

Yeh at the moment I'm driving it around with it on, looks a little funny, it's Subaru blue and my car is near factory red haha. Hoping to paint it someday soon, ideally the same red however to match and get it professionally done is a bit out of my price range so I might settle on black (maybe matte) to match my rims.
As for the bumper I'm trying to sweet talk him into generously giving it to me, I think he's pretty keen to get rid of it. The stock bumper looks a little boring, and gap between hood and number is about 2cm. |

If I want to pop the hood I have to do it in reverse order haha. 1. Hop out, put my fingers into the permanent gap between the hood and bumper and release the latch. 2. Go back into my car and pull the hood release leaver. Then the hood can just lift right up. Also, the GT4 hood is very light compared to my stock one. Stock - steel? GT4 - aluminium? |

get the latch extended ASAP!
you do not want that hood flying open while you're driving, only to completely ruin it! |

Indeed, especially with being aluminum it's definitely a possibility.

Alright I'll look into it, (I've taken it off for now until I get it painted anyway).
Thanks for your concerns |
