Don't forget to transfer the engine hook from the passenger side of your 5S to the BEAMS. Took us a couple of hours of fighting to get mine to sit in place properly before we gave up and used the hook from the 5S.

He uses his favourite weather hardened oak tree and rope. I'm going to take a guess he just drops everything out from the bottom.
Either way, looking forward to seeing another swapped Celica. It's nice to see them how they're supposed to be. (DISCLAIMER: That includes all engine swaps) This post has been edited by Box: Dec 4, 2013 - 2:20 PM -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Finished up some wiring today. Just extending wires for now. Theres a ignition box on the firewall that the plug on harness doesnt fit. Any ideas? Then i notice theres 3 vac lines on the engine side on intake mani on the 5s and only 2 on the beams. Please give me some insight on these things. Ok. I have the beams running. But it runs really rough. When i plug in the maf from avalon, it kills the car.
It runs like it wants to die. When i start it up.. I have to gas it a bit to get it going. Any answers will be appreciated Lol Also, first gear only goes til 15mph second gear goes to about 26 mph and third goes to about 39 mph. Havent tried the rest |
