Sold my box, but I am making a new one with an 18 inch this time. With my old one I was doing 141.7dB on 35Hz playing music. Microphone on the windshield. Single 12" tuned to 33Hz. -------------------- |

Today, I received a voice mail saying that my new tires and rims have arrived, and that I need to call back to setup an appointment to get them mounted. So close to being roadworthy.

Today I racecar, auto-x event at a convention center parking lot. Brilliant. Mostly 911, Boxster, Cayman crowd, very entertaining. Most were in the lower 60's, I ran 67.3 as my best. I'd say my closest competitor was a five-door Rabbit, automatic, which ran a 73, so I'm fairly happy with that result. Mostly it was just fun to legally hoon.
Decided to post, to say I'm still alive. If you want a hand with that swap, you know where to find me good sir. This post has been edited by SwissFerdi: Dec 7, 2013 - 6:40 PM -------------------- '97 ST \ Eibach \ KYB \ Kenwood \ Alpine \ Cusco \ OEM+ [sold 10/18]

Today I racecar again, this time at the lot of a sheriff's training facility. Tighter course, and it was a lot more demanding (too much) on my 185/65/15 480-tread-rated, all-season, symmetrical piss-poor-gripping Kelly tires. Yesterday I felt comfortable running the car harder, maybe it's because 911s are set up to understeer as well, whereas this course was designed mostly for FR. I just couldn't get the car to turn well in tight radius, for some reason the tires just didn't perform. I took one run a bit less aggressively, with less understeer, resulting in 58.5 compared to 57.1, my fastest. I also ran a 57.3 but never managed to break into 56 like I wanted to.
Still a fun day. Had ride-alongs with a Boxster S (driven by the designer of yesterday's course), supercharged NA, and a 4A-GZE MR2, fully gutted @ 1900lbs. Today I bought my 1995 Toyota Celica ST Coupe!!! First toyota ever owned... I've been a life long honda fan but i broke the code.
Drove really well on the highway back home. Wen't str8 to the wallie world to get oil change crap and cleaning supply's.. Changed the oil at home and noticed the old filter has a 2011 sharpie on it. I hope the mechanic was off acouple years..lol... ohh well.. She loves her new blood now. Noticed it needs some new wires so i might do some plugs and wires tomorrow. But I'm def doing a nice cleaning... I noticed the starter is chucking greese out.. Does that mean its on its way out?? Can't say i've seen that before.. Also noticed i need a new flex pipe.. Easy fixes!!! All in all i like my lilttle pos.. =D.. Seats are alot more comfee then civic.. -------------------- @floordauto

Fixed the exhaust leak today witch happen'd to be the flex pipe. Since it needed to be welded, I had a local shop do it up..
Did a tune up at the house, Rotor+cap, Spark plug, Wires, PCV vavle, Air filter.. Can't ****ing believe how bad the spark plugs where and how decent it was running. Of course now the car is amazing smooth and power is back. Only thing left is timing belt, fuel filter, water pump+thomo stat and motor mounts. Don't really have to do all this but might aswell.. More money can go towards cool stuff later.. -------------------- @floordauto
