We swapped in the 7a from Stef's old set up, no turbo though.
Stef and I did post pics on Facebook

We picked up a 96 ST with a blown motor (hole in the back of the block). The previous owner put on new struts, new exhaust, new fuel filler neck, ect. We swapped in her rebuilt 7a (no turbo).
We cleaned it up, replaced a few things, got some parts from Cameron and Mike K, we now have a new winter beater.

Funny I forgot to post pics here...

Im not planning on installing one until I get some power. Lol.

The hell does power have to do with it? Shifter feel improvement is shifter feel improvement, and the difference is drastic.

Well if his swap includes changing transmissions, it has a lot to do with it. tongue.gif

Engine swap or not, I love the feel of my TRD quickshifter. Made the shifting feel so much better, despite my crappy worn shift cables. The v2 is basically the same as the v1 but slightly shorter. Do I need the v2 instead of the v1 I have now? Absolutely not. But hey, when a friend and fellow 6gc'er sends me a link to a moderately rare part brand new in the box, how can I resist?

Today I cleaned out my storage area and threw away half of the parts I have sitting around for the Celica. Including my old three post spoiler... I feel guilty throwing parts like that away, but then I realize that everyone hates the three post and I'll never ever put it back on my Celica.

Short-throw is on my list of things to do. Sort of like how replacing a quart of gear oil with Synchromesh has been on my list of immediate things to do for a month.

Two post or no post. tongue.gif

I ask myself that same question all of the time, and it befits mentioning now. tongue.gif

That sounds like a ton of fun! A full GT4 front conversion is a great reason to be out in the NC winter weather. smile.gif

Today I went back to work (where I'm currently sitting on 6gc) and drove the Celica. I hate how long it takes the auto trans fluid to reach temp in the winter.

Today I got an email saying somebody grabbed the quickshifter before I did. Oh well, I haven't lost anything.

Damn, I was about to start heckling you via PM tongue.gif

Today I am sitting in Downtown Vancouver. My car will be alone at home for quite a while.... Or until late June / early July to be more precise.

Unfortunately I am feeling a bit off today so I'm sitting in my room instead of going to the Vancouver Aquerium and Stanley Park. But On Sunday I am heading up for a week of skiing at Whistler, so it would be nice if some snow fell before then. After that I am flying to San Fransisco and heading down to San Jose where I will be studying for the semester.

I haven't been on here for a while because I was crazy busy getting ready to head over here and I was put on work extended trading hours and 6 days a week for the lead up to Christmas, finishing only hours before I had to be at the airport.

I also had another car for a bit, a Beemer, I'll post pics some other time. That one was just to buy and sell for lols and a bit of cash but I didn't get it sold in time so I ended up only making a couple of hundred, but it was free transportation fr a while.

What size Ultra Quiet resonator did you get? As I found out too late (and to quote Batman722) "Turns out it's not ultra quiet at all." I'll be adding a second resonator to my system.
