My friend is starting his SR20DET swap this week and theres basically complete "how to's" on it. I was like jeez, if i had that I woulda been done the next day.

yeah

but you cant open an import magazine or watch a TV import car show without hearing about the sr20det.

there are tons of people that dont even know what the hell it is but they want it. and a lot of those articles make the sf swap seam like a piece of cake, when its not.

ask anyone on a 240sx board if a sr20 swap is as easy as the magazines say it is and they will say no.

the 3sgte swap and sr20 swap are very similar in that the drop in for the most part, but wiring is a bitch, and as always, things can go wrong in a swap.

the majority of how to's i have seen for the sr20 swap suck.

I am going to agree with you one this one....theres alot of get this get that , but why. If and when I find someone Im going to pick his brain til I am satisfied. and when I complete my swap I PROMIST to everyone here I will post it on my website toyspeed.com (not finished) It will have completed instruction on the tranny swap soon and turbo kit install from burien and engine swap with pictures ....... but I need help to get started

My friend just finished his and after seeing how quick it got done and the results I'm just Jealous , From what it was now it practicaly flies.

I think i might buy a 240 and swap sr20 for cheap and fast speed and go all looks for the celi.

2 of my friends finished the swap in 2 days. working at a casual place. the kids dad also owns an import shop. but he said its a peice of cake

yea I've been lookin into a 240 for a 2nd car to build as a drifter - think that swap would be alot easier than the 3sgte.
