Previous owner is a real good buds dad. He scraps so he bought it for junk. Said hed give me the money I needed now IF I didn't sell any parts off the car BUT the motor and trans are mine if I ever need them.
And Brian, sadly no. Its gonna go in the way back where the not worth fixing ones go. Honestly I think he bought it under those terms cause he doesn't wanna see it go. |

Today I took the Celica in for a good cleaning at a local hand car wash. Tonight while taking the dog out I looked back at her and thought to myself... for a '99 she still looks pretty darn good!

A few weeks ago some lowlife scum stole my front Toyota badge, and after about two weeks of going to car yards and calling Toyota parts wreckers and having absolutely no luck in finding one, I caved in and bought one from a Toyota dealer for a nice hefty price of 45 bucks.
Shiny though -------------------- |

Shiny though Yup I had to do the same when I first bought my car and the badge was broken. Went to a scrapyard but got yelled at and kicked out by the owner because he thought I was trying to steal it This post has been edited by PegGTS: Jan 28, 2014 - 11:35 AM -------------------- 2007 Impreza 2.5i - Daily

Shiny though I don't know if he still has them available, but a chap on here by the name of smkr3w makes an irikanji-style emblem, a set for $20. I suppose this doesn't help much now... You've caught my attention, once the badge was gone I thought badgeless looks pretty good and I took my back one off, and cleaned up the glue on the back, but no amount of wax, grease, glue, whatever remover was going to remove the glue that was on the front, and even after my best efforts of scrubbing away at the front of the car for about 2 hours straight the colour of the bumper and what was behind the badge are 2 different colours.. which shouldn't be a surprise of probably 20 years of sun on the paint, In the end I hated looking at this , so thats why I bought it but I will look into what you suggested, thanks Also, whats the best advice to fill in the holes where it used to clip in, I got told buying some putty filler, then use touch up paint I already have on it, because the size of the hole is.. tiny This post has been edited by RoadRage: Jan 28, 2014 - 11:14 PM -------------------- |

I like it but maybe with the rising sun centered just below the plate or centered on the plate. Sorry, I'm a sucker for symmetry. -------------------- Has no more Celicas

Are you even Japanese? If the answer is no, remove it now. If the answer is yes, it's great and keep it.

Not really a big fan of rising sun decals but it shouldn't look that bad. If anything I'll just make the whole bezel black. Looks more oem and clean imo. On a side note. I cleaned my silly97 for the first time in a month and couple weeks. That dirty hoe. Lol. Also lowered my 5zigen price to its balls and still got a Low ball offer of 500. /.- If there's anything I hate most. Its low ballers and flakers. Lol. -------------------- |
