Bought this from a friend in november for 1000$, 97 celica ST special edition from the states, 168k miles.

Friend didnt even know car had a 160-170hp 4age Blacktop engine, tied down throttle cable, played with timing,
gave it a tank of premium and gained an instant 40hp...

Painted the wheels bronze cause 2 color cheap wheels is a no go.

Exhaust fell off from header to muffler on a speed bump in a mall so tied that thing with steel wire and
brought it to a shop for custom 2.5in catback

Traded my rattlecan painted Drag DR9s with bald tires for these almost new momos with brand new cheap
tires on. Currently in the process of plastidipping them black cause 2 color cheap wheels is a no go.
Hope they look good (bigger 225/45 instead of 205/40 and 35 offset instead of 47) or else will go JDM shop hunting in the spring.

Also, no pics but just went scrapyard hunting, got a full rear disc conversion for 50$ and avalon front twin pistons calipers for 40$
will be installing those in spring. thanks for reading.

It was a steal! The radio and the wheels alone are worth almost that! I will post a pic of the dipped wheels ASAP. Might just put one side on to see if I like the look even if its snowing like crazy right now.
I will race the car once a week, I have been in a local lapping club for 4 years now its called ASE Lapping club. I'm pretty sure its LSD but I wont be taking off an axle soon so i'll just keep hoping.
I am going to buy cheap GTS rotors all around and Hawk HP+ pads. I used them on my Focus SVT and on my 7th gen celica gt and they were the best pads I've ever had.
its sitting right now on kyb agx/tanabe springs(i guess). A bit on the soft side but it's the best to learn the way a car behaves on a track. I will probably be going with megan racing coilovers in mid summer.
Anyone knows where i could find a decent header? or should I stick to a stock one? I need to change mine as it's starting to rust pretty bad and its leaking from the o2 flange...

That looks a really nice car. I actually really liked the old wheels you had after you sprayed them Bronze. They suited the car well.

they actually do look really nice, but they are so heavy and the offset is horrible. I've always wanted to have a set of Volk CE28N and theses were one of the best replicas...
here's a picture of 5 mins worth of plastidipping yesterday while my food was in the microwave oven

murdered out style reppin'
Hope these tires are better then the name they gave them... lol

-coilovers mid summer,
-better tire/wheel combo probably 16's or 15's if they clear avalon calipers for weight reasons
-carpet and tar removal for summer, going to put the carpet back in winter
-rear disc brake conversion+ front avalon twin pistons this spring
-supra or momo MOD 69 steering wheel as soon as possible
-6 spd ECU for 8300 rpm limit, and cleanup of the wiring... that thing looks like a big bowl of spaghetti with alot of sauce
-flush all fluids+ timing belt
-ss-II or III? 9k rpm limit white faced cluster
-lightweight battery+ relocation to the rear (maybe)
-out of ideas.

So I tried one of the momos on...

offset is alot better then the drag dr9's up in the front!
I guess the back will still be quite tucked in...but probably way less then the +48 or something drags...
I will not run spacers as I dont want to mess with the balance of the car and they are unsafe for track use.
Sorry for the very dirty/salty car it was -13F when I took the pictures!
The feet of snow on the GLK in the background fell in less then 1 night.

I like the fitment of the second set of wheels, but I love the color of the others. They just POP with a black car. Maybe paint those ones too?

I guess I could try, I havent tought about that... The only thing that sucks is that real paint will ruin the wheels, so if I don't like the look of bronze or whatever other color I try on, I am stuck with painted rims, where as plastidip is removed in a matter of minutes to reveal the untouched original perfect paint of these almost new rims... I guess I'll rock all black for a month or 2, then, as a wheel whore, I'll sell them or paint them lol

Good that it's plastidip because I like the original look more. I did the flat black for a while too, it was fun until the wheels get dirty, then they just look like dirty gloss black wheels.

Track priority is thumbsup.gif
