Well, I haven't been around in a while unfortunately. This happened to me a couple of months back, and I simply haven't had the heart to post it up yet. She will be missed. I was just wondering why I hadn't seen anything from you in awhile and now I'm both sad and happy; sad that your Celica is gone but happy you're safe and sound. What are you driving now? -------------------- Has no more Celicas

Yea, no serious injuries. Although as soon as I pointed out to the state trooper that the other vehicle's occupants were lying about who was driving they suddenly all had neck injuries and had to be taken away in the ambulance. Thankfully the trooper knew that they were full of it.

Currently I am rocking a z24 cavalier. But I just recently purchased a 93 Honda Del Sol. Unfortunately it is hard as hell to source any desirable parts here in Jacksonville for the Celica, so I went with a Honda because I know several shop owners who can get me parts wholesale. I never saw a Celica around here that looked anything like mine and I was proud to drive it, but it looks like I will just have to create something I am proud of out of the Sol I still come by the site from time to time and check up on things, I just haven't wanted to post about it.
Wow, did you spoiler fall off of the riser blocks? Must have been a serious hit. Yea, luckily I had the 7g steering wheel and airbag installed, felt like a pillow hit me lol. Thank goodness I had just secured the airbag back down two days before, since I had the thing just sitting in the steering wheel for around 4 months previously. Wow, did you spoiler fall off of the riser blocks? Must have been a serious hit. Yup, the spoiler flew off on me. It was only held on with those plastic inserts that you screw into for body panels. Never needed anything else, until now, lol |

I brought my car back to the shop that did my exhaust because I had noticed it sounded like there was a leak ever since I got it done, sounded like it was running right from the header. Turns out they either forgot to put in one of the O2 sensors or it blew right out. But either way, she's good to go now. Much quieter than before lol.

today I figured I'd take out the Idle Air Control IAC and see if I could clean it out. Mine wants to idle around 1400 rpm until you give it a little goose and then it drops down to 700 like it should.
but this is kindof annoying, and is certainly effecting my mpg. so I squeezed my hand up against the firewall to get my stubby screwdriver in there and take it off. after I took it apart to look at it I could see there is nothing to clean, and I had some trouble getting it back on the right way so that the throttle wouldn't stick or act funny. Now it seems better but still wants to idle too high. Do you think I need a new IAC or do I just need to better clean the throttle plate and spring? or is the cable too sticky? -------------------- Bust a Deal; Face the Wheel.

I went and got a quote today for a custom exhaust and its probably getting done in the next 2 weeks! Also, I am going to order a new peformance air intake that looks stock, because the pod brings too much attention (In Vic they aren't legal, and my friend had a defect check on his car just a few days ago, and I don't wanna run the risk) -------------------- |

ya, I loose it in a parking lot even when I remember where I parked it because it will be hiding behind anything even as big as an Escort.

I ripped all of the broken front parts off my rebuild car. Not much damage, but slightly bent in on the driver side liner and rad mount. not much work to push it back out. Didnt mess with the rear. I figure my body shop bill is going to be higher finding some new damage but I should still be under KBB private party value in the car parts and labor. And most of the parts are Euro or JDM replacements, so I am still happy. Car is going to the doctor either monday or tuesday.

It made it to 60 degrees today in Minneapolis...first time since early November! I washed and waxed my 94 ST, installed new plugs, PVC, cap and rotor plus
air filter. Running and looking good at 302,000 miles...still my daily driver. |
