Today, I found out someone hit my car...more accurately, they rubbed against the front, passenger fender and left me a nice black smear and a cool line running along the lower front bumper. Awesome.
So, maybe it's time to start planning a bit of paint work on the 'ole girl. -------------------- Has no more Celicas

My god I'm turning into one of you people. That shifter probably did it. I've only had a short throw in mine but I drove Samir's GT with original shifter, I much prefer the notchy but slightly more precise action. It's really not as notchy as I thought it'd be either, just more precise is the best way of describing it. If anything it's almost just as smooth as stock, then again the shifter assembly bushings I replaced as well and now it's rock solid. I noticed before changing them the assembly would rock back and forth quite a ways. Either way, best $20 spent in some time. My one niggle is that 1st and second your hand will rub the e-brake some.

Today, my Celica is 15 years old; on this day in 1999 she rolled out of the factory and towards eventually being the best car I've ever owned.

Ok, it just says 11/94 so nothing specific on date.
So, now to figure out what to do with the exhaust... So many possibilities. Really it's just figuring out where to have it exit and how. Once the tip arrives I'll play around with it some. Hopefully it sounds good for a four cylinder, the muffler really surprised me on the Genesis 2.0T so hopefully it does again. The other things I have in mind include a true cold air intake, though it'd be more for sound than anything. Other small things like 5GC mirrors, and maybe removing the spoiler. It looks good sans spoiler and with the two post, though sans spoiler is a little more unique. I'll also reduce my coefficient of drag by .01 or so. Also tinting the tails and painting the tag bezel black should look nice. It's funny how here recently I've really bonded with the car. I've always liked it for the most part, but I don't know... I guess taking emotional drives at 4 in the morning kind of does that. Driving is my escape, it's the one time I can truly just stop thinking about everything. I have an air compressor now and just need a gun, but I'm going to try and find a nicer shade of red to paint it but is still close enough to what's under the hood for me to not go OCD. Which if I do that it'll mean removing the redundant side-markers. It's funny how both cars I've fallen in love with have been made by Toyota. I get more attached to my cars and instruments than I do with most people, I suppose I'm not normal. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Just wish it was a gt.😟 7A gets better mpg though, and at this rate that's what really matters. Though at least with the 5S you can halfway build it up naturally and can always turbo it, or swap it out. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Do you sell suspension? No, its a joke he likes to make that every "box" mentioned is him. ...but if he did sell suspension he could have a lower ST than he does. -------------------- Has no more Celicas
