I'd say run 20mm or 25mm in the rear. 10mm-15mm in the front. I'd run 15mm front and 25mm rear.

Depending on your tire size and amount lowered, you might need anywhere from 20-25mm front and 30-35mm rear.

Hey Team

You guys will probably think Im crazy, but getting 5x100 wheels in New Zealand for a 6gc with a low offset is impossible, anyway found and bought something with these specs in the UK and hoping they will be just right for a super flush look.

Fronts: 18 x 8.5 25P
Rears: 18 x 9.5 25P

Wheels are currently in a container being shipped to NZ.

Will keep everyone posted and will post pics when they on the car. thumbsup.gif

My current wheel specs are 17 x7 40P, and they really look odd. Dont waste your time with spacers. The best advice I can give you is spend your time and money looking for the right spec wheels and you wont regret it.

Are they the XXR's?
I've got the XXR's in 18x8.75 ET30 fitted 225/40 slight stretch. Fitted 27mm spacers at the back with 2.5deg camber. 1.5degree camber on the front with adjustable top mounts.

They won't be flush, they will poke, but should look awesome.
You'll need rolled guards and stretched tyres if your lowered.

So I've been reading over this thread for a while now and I've came to the realization that I'll have to roll my rear fenders if I want a flush look ( I didn't want to roll them but it looks like I have to). I just want to clarify something, if I run 7" wheels in the front then I need a 25mm spacer and if I run 9" wheels in the rear I'll need a 17mm spacer. Is that right? Also I believe it's hub centric spacers that we use and another questions.....where the heck would I find these spacers?

Ichiba has hubcentric spacers like the ichiba ones I have up for grabs. I think h&r makes them too but not sure. Other than that you'll need custom which is usually $150 for a pair.

would i use these figures if im NOT going to use stretched tires? if not then what figures wud i use or cant it be dun without stretched?

reason being, my car insurance is void if i decide to "use tires in a way that they werent to be used" as my insurance company put it.

Hey guys, having a little Dilemma and wondering if I can get anyone's opinion on this.

So I'm looking into 2 TE37's (replicas) with sizes of:

18x9 +38 5x100

&

18x8 +45 5x100

So I know with the 18x9, I can put 20mm on the rears and 5mm on the fronts. but is 9" itself too wide for the front? I accept I need to roll my rear fenders though, but I'm more concerned if 9" in the front will be a problem and will need customizing, which I don't really want to do.

The other option is much viable at 18x8, but that +45 offset is what concerns me. I would have to run 40mm spacers in the back which I think is way too much tension at the back, 15 in the front is fine.

So I'm basically looking at the fact at which one is more better fitting on the celica? I'm all stock settings (Not lowered or anything) so I'm looking for a nice flush with stock suspesion, no hella flush or anything. should I be concerned about the big offset (rears) or the width of the rim... (9" up front)

Stagger it. 18x9 in the rear with 20mm and 18x8 with 25mm in the front.

Yea that would be ideal... the problem is that these are from 2 different shops and they won't let me buy it in pairs frown.gif. So I have to bite the bullet on either one set kindasad.gif

According to the guide, your best bet is the 9" one. A 5mm spacer won't show too greatly so your better off keeping the spacers to a minimum if you can.

Only concern would be how close the rim will sit to your strut (which you may HAVE to use that 5mm spacer or so)
But if that's all good, get the right tyre specs and you'll be sweet. But personally I think the 'flush look on stock suspension' will look a little off.

Not exactly, the size of the spacer you'll need will be determined by the offset as well, not just the width (Disregard my comment if you've posted the offset before this post, I haven't followed this entire thread.)

Ah ok thanks! yeah I'm thinking of running 225/40/18 or 225/35/18 on them.
True, though right now I just want to stop driving on my winters (sold my summers already so basically these rims will replace those with the money I got), I'm getting Adjustable coilovers later but they are alittle too much for my budget atm so they'll have to wait and stock suspension will have to do. Hopefully my side skirts, rear skirt and front lip help it from making it look too whacky haha
