It's officially gone... Now begins the arduous task of finding another car. *Le sigh* Definitely the end of an era...Box will no longer make weekly posts about keeping/selling the Celica. I hope you find what you want in the next set of wheels - and that you keep posting here. -------------------- Has no more Celicas

I hope you find what you want in the next set of wheels - and that you keep posting here. I know, that was half of the fun. Meh, I'm so picky I'm sure I'll find something wrong with anything I can manage to find. I'll stick around since everyone loves me so much. look at the bright side, now's your chance to finally get that chocobo! Yep. Then I can ride off into the sunset. Mk3!! Mk3!! Either that or a SC300, maybe a T/A. Just depends on what pops up first that's in good shape. It's officially gone... Now begins the arduous task of finding another car. *Le sigh* i sell you mine Going to RWD convert it too? -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Couldn't sleep, not much new there. I looked outside, and the driveway is empty now. It's weird, almost surreal. Kind of depressing in a way. Thinking about what to get has had my mind going in a million different directions. Funny, it's more or less two choices and I can't thoroughly decide either way.

'86-92 Supra
'92-97 SC300 '94-02 V8 Firebird/Camaro '94-95/'99-04 Mustang GT All with manual transmissions. Really in no particular order at the moment, but the only reason the Mustang is really there as you can actually work on its engine. Really isn't much else out there as I want RWD, 6/8 cylinders, manual transmission, and two doors. There's the 300ZX, but they're a nightmare to work on and I just don't care for interference engines. If I wasn't so Hell bent on staying with a manual transmission the SC400 would probably be ideal. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Nice selection, I really want a 90-92 supra cause I love the tail lights, im pretty much open to anything 5-6 speed, just getting bored right now with Celica's. Ill still have one once the other is sold. |

The '89-92 models are the same and my preference, it's possible to convert the '86-88 models though. Yeah, I really nitpicked it down. If I was open to FWD and/or less cylinders that'd open up a few more options. I know for sure I'm done with FWD, it's good for the snow which almost never happens around here. There's the Miata, MR2, and 240SX but meh... Guess can throw in the RX7 as well, but just no...

I had a 240sx it was lovely until someone stole it on my first deployment, was livid about it, I don't care for the rx7 or the rotary engine, Miata's and mr2 are a tad to small for my liking haha, I was thinking about 5-6speed BMW along with the supras and of course if I could get my hands on a decent 1g celica I would be all over that |

I'd get a BMW if it didn't come with the BMW problems.

Problem with the MKIII is finding one, and then what I do find will more likely than not need a fairly immediate head-gasket job. Why I threw the SC300 in there, though the only problem is finding one of the 3,000 or so with a manual transmission. Manual F-body can be hard to find, but outside of cheap interior they're sound cars. The Mustang is, well, a Mustang.

Too much effort needed on my part though. The 7M is sufficient enough once the head-gasket is taken care of.
Anyhow no luck on finding anything as of yet. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

From experience (i.e. dealing with rebuilding my 7m vs swappin for a 1jz) this is much easier and alot less effort required

Provided it hasn't dumped coolant into the crankcase it doesn't need rebuilt though. That's ok, I'm beginning to lean more towards the F-body anyway for a variety of reasons.
