put ice in the intercooler dry ice you can just ship it to me. it will have more power ..but seriously, Toyota knew what they were doing when they spent millions developing the car... sticking your intake out the headlight is not going to give you a magic boost -------------------- |

Again Toyota knew what they were doing. Its built specifically for the power it has. If it could be turned into a 500awhp car cheaply, don't you think they would have done it?

Fast Cheap Reliable - Pick two... That NEVER applies to ANY car that is not a hypercar, or limited production car for example. Toyota knew what they were doing to meet certain regulations and standards, and also a budget and a target sales to be able to run in the rally competitions (there's a rule involving sales of a similar, roadworthy version of the car to be used in the competitions) Intake through the headlight works on MANY cars and you will see an increase in power. It's not aesthetically pleasing in many cases by any means but the effectiveness is there. Look for drag cars that have the compressor facing forward, or intakes through their headlights. It's not for show, it actually works. That said, I really doubt a stock turbo will gain much from a headlight intake mod. I doubt any mod will benefit the stock engine optimally without tuning. @OP: Some people will take out the transmission side high-beam for it. Before modding the car in such a way I would recommend getting the usual downpipe, exhaust, larger intake, etc "bolt on" mods, but that's just me. -------------------- 1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold

That's what I was saying, the stock turbo, exhaust, injectors, ect. just placing your intake out there... The downpipe and exhaust will help if you're using everything stock now Look at getting an 'exhaust cut-out'. There are several dyno's with a cutout closed and open an there is a significant improvement. I never dynoed mine (open vs closed), but the butt dyno knows the pulls with it open are a whole lot more fun -------------------- |
