Hello: Just wondering if anyone ever made or still make window vent visors for Gen 6 cars? I have googled it but have not found any single manufacturer nor have I noticed on any of the pictures here on the forum.
I park my car on the turnpike in the sun and would like to leave the windows crack open a bit but Kansas weather is very unpredictable and you never know when it will rain. Can anyone shed a light? Thank You |

Toyota made them, but they are a bit spendy and not as functional as some would like.

You are not kidding on the price. thanks Richee3. That is one expensive set of ventvisors. Sometimes you can find them for less, but I usually see them between $150-250. They are very small so you couldn't leave your windows cracked too far open, but it's better than nothing. -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates. I spotted a 6gc at a local cars and coffee meet and his visors looked oem but didn't have the TOYOTA stamp. Asked the owner he said he bought the car with it and doesn't know the brand of it either. I looked around to look for a stamp but there was nothing. The tint also looks darker than the OEM one. It also lines up perfectly with the car. Makes me wander who made it or what brand is it.

If I could get my hands on a cheap set (even damaged) I can probably make fiberglass copies. Won't be transparent, but when they are cheap does it matter that much?

I would really like to have a set, any kind for that matter. The car will sit in the sun and the way the windows are designed, you really cannot leave them open at all. Kansas weather changes every 10 minutes.
I will check with the local Toyota dealer here and see if they can find one in the warehouse (on the top shelf) eating dust from all thsoe years (LOL). Does anyone has the OEM part number? thank you again. |

I got the OEM ones on my car.
They don't provide much protection from the weather, but when raining I can have the window 0.5cm down. I was lucky, I got mine brand new and cheaper than what second hand ones cost. -------------------- ------------------------------| White '94 Celica | Bought 11/05/12 | Sold 12/05/15 |------------------------------ |

You are lucky. Perhaps there is a group buy and enD can make one for all of us?

You are lucky. Perhaps there is a group buy and enD can make one for all of us? Your best bet will be to buy some OEMs. I have too much on my plate right now. And with the comments on them not being very functional, maybe I can modify them with a bigger lip. Or just make my own design. -------------------- |

I have been looking but nothing so far except some from Hong Kong and used for around $200 shipped. That is a bit pricey.
