Nice, beat out other handling cars that had more power.

Fiat is at 2300lbs with 98bhp. Mini at 115 and 2500 or so. The Matrix is heavy but powerful, the car is on all-season tires so he couldn't put power down.

For some reason I was thinking they had a little more power than that. I knew the XRS was up there, same engine as the 7GC GT-S but slightly de-tuned if I recall correctly. Still it came down to driver ability and you won, so victory drinks!

Could go to 185/60-15 to get some cheaper tires that'll last longer.

but they'll be just a smidge taller and have a little more sideways roll : /

really though, if you only got 10k out of a set of tires then you probably need to spend some money on struts, mounts, alignment before you waste any more money on tires.

The stock size tires are all ultra high performance summer tires, so they don't last long at all. Going to 185/60-15 it's actually a tad bit shorter in diameter, but only make for a 0.6% difference on the speedometer, so not even noticeable.

Buying musical instruments off eBay, but sure. tongue.gif I did find an '82 280ZX, but it's white and red two-tone(same scheme as the 10th Anniversary Black Gold) with red interior. I suppose I can overlook it all since it only has 107,000 miles and it already has new tires and brakes. Maybe it won't have lots of rust hiding.

It's an auto. redface.gif

Pioneer FH-X700BT or FH-X500UI? I thought about getting one of them before I found my Sony for $50, I think they look pretty nifty.

I'd check your clutch for slipping. Get up to 30 mph and throw it into fifth and then floor it, look for RPM's rising while the speed stays the same.
