Side note, I'm about to throw names of cars into a hat or just have someone choose for me. The problem is that I want them all.

I know yellowchinaman experimented with Dodge Neon projectors, but I haven't seen anyone on here attempt Impreza headlights. It depends upon the dimensions.

For what it'd potentially cost, might as well just get the JDM projectors.

It depends upon the dimensions. yeah i seen his thread for that. very impressive work. and looks great on the car too. For what it'd potentially cost, might as well just get the JDM projectors. its the halo's that i really want lol JDM ones cost in excess of £450 for used one in the UK. thats with damage to them. i barely paid that much for my car lol and retrofitting is going to take too long to do as my car is a daily driver. need the headlights in there This post has been edited by MisterRay: Jun 10, 2014 - 6:25 PM -------------------- "whoever said progress was a slow process... was probably talking about me" |

Hmm... Would just have to measure everything out. Like mentioned earlier the Neon lights have been fabricated to work. Why do you need halos anyway, not like you'll see them when you're in the car.

I'm just messing with you, when done properly halos look pretty cool. Maybe you should. I'm seriously growing weary of not having a car... I already have missed out on some things that I really didn't want to miss because of it..

We didn't have the ST205 over here, we did get the ST165 and ST185 though. Good luck on finding one though. I would probably get a 240SX if they weren't all drift missiles by now. The Mustang doesn't handle well enough, I tried to like it I really did. At the end of the day the only thing good about the Mustang is the fact it has a V8. For some reason people aren't selling their Miata at the moment. The first gen MR2 seems to pop up from time to time, I'm just not wild about the interior and exterior aesthetics. Maybe one in black would work though. I just don't know, each car has their strengths and weaknesses and I honestly can't decide between them all. I like them all to a degree, so that doesn't make matters easy. Hell, even thrown in getting another Celica in GT trim or a CRX perhaps. This would be easier if I were a fan-boy of one brand or the other.

Drove home and let go of the gas pedal for a moment and hit the gas then car was in neutral?!?!?! Had a 18 wheeler behind me scared me. I'd check your clutch for slipping. Get up to 30 mph and throw it into fifth and then floor it, look for RPM's rising while the speed stays the same. I'll try that on the way home from work. But Idk what's the issue I got it to consistently "slip" out if fifth gear today. Cruising at different speeds 60, 50, 40 in fifth and then releasing the gas pedal. Gear knob goes into neutral. I tried holding the gear physically but then it grinds. After it slips out of 5 th I tried to go back into it but I cant. I end up dropping into 4 and then back into 5 |

T bar roof. felt solid to drive and handled well. plus you can always mod the engine if you get bored. but im pretty sure the USDM turbo versions are a little more bhp capped than the JDM ones. why dont u just buy all of them but as beaters lol that way u can tinker and fix when you have time. AND you have all of them lol the st185 is pretty good. the ra28 is probably my favourite of the celica's though. my dad used to own one when i was a kid and it definitely stood out. -------------------- "whoever said progress was a slow process... was probably talking about me" |

Off topic (like the rest of this thread haha) but not worth opening up a thread for. has any1 tried doing a Subaru headlight conversion? I think the bug eye lights are a bit bigger than Celica lights. It would require some modification to work. On a different note I've been thinking. A really nice 99 5 speed GT came up on craigslist in a town near mine. I'm not sure if I want to get it instead of swapping mine to a manual. I'd have to swap all the parts on mine to it, but I don't think it would be as hard as doing a manual swap. I don't know, if I want to sell my current celi though. -------------------- |

It'd be much easier just to swap over what you have versus swapping everything for the transmission. Probably be cheaper too all things considered, since most people want the automatic version since they can't drive. If it happens to also be white I say go for it definitely.

I already have a manual trans at my dads shop and a good amount of the manual parts is just doing it sounds horrible. I really don't want to sell my celi though. It's my first car so there is some sentimental value there. -------------------- |
