Sentimental value has a price. I hear you though. Secretly I really sold my Celica just to turn around and buy one that wasn't red. Shhh, don't tell anyone or they might think I'm one of them. Lol. If you're still looking for a car you might try the website http://www.autotempest.com/. You put in the car you want, the mile range and it searches ebay, craigslist, autotrader and other sites for cars. You may have heard of it but if not it may be worth checking out. -------------------- |

I've tried it before, for some reason it likes to not show all of the listings available.

If I come across one I may just have to get it. Considering the BEAMS isn't too terribly much these days, and there's always the 1MZ as well. I had found an '87 MR2, but the guy won't message me back... Had that happen with a Miata I found, I remember why I despise Craigslist so much.

If the guy was a dick, find another place.

If it's too much work for him to fill in the holes properly he's in the wrong profession. The proper way of doing it would be to weld in metal and grind it down smooth then seal, primer, and paint. Ehh, I suppose the easier way of doing it would be to weld it from the back of the hole and then use Bondo glass to fill and smoothen out the area, and then paint it.

If it's a black liftback with black leather I'll poke you in the eye and take off with it while you're crying.

I've realized when it comes to car shopping I'm too OCD. Cracked dash is an immediate disqualify, as is the removal of A/C or signs of rust. That and changing my mind on what car I want every three days doesn't help either. I did see a Miata earlier today while I was out, I almost walked up to them as they were parking and asked if they wanted to sell their car. Probably should have, oh well.

Hmm, I'd imagine so. Might want to fix that soon.
So I might have finally found a car, just depends on if the mechanical condition is good enough. It's a beige AW11 with tan interior, I never knew sports cars came in such boring colours... The guy has had it for over three years now and it's better than it being red I suppose. So yeah, hopefully it turns out ok. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Today I added some more to my ever-growing $7,300 shopping list. The purchasing starts soon.
