Hey guys, I just had a couple of questions for people here who are running a set of TRD REPLICA side skirts, in terms of fitment.

1. Do the side skirts completely wrap around the bottom of the car, and make contact with the underside, for the full length of the side skirt? Or is there a "gap" between the side skirt and underside of the car that you could reach inside, that could potentially collect dirt and grime?

2. Around the door, does the side skirt wrap around the rocker panel and inside into the door jam? Or does the skirt simply stop just below the door, on the outside of the rocker panel?

Hopefully this makes sense and someone can chime in and help me out. I managed to get my hands on a set of TRD reps, and just trying to guage how poor of a replica they are, as I've already compared them to Legit TRD skirts, and they seem fairly different in terms of fitment. Just trying to see if all reps are the same, or if they're are different qualities of replicas.

I have DCW TRD replicas. I'll snap some pictures for you tomorrow. But in the meantime...


Mine completely wrap underneath the body and make contact. Fitment underneath the body isn't quite close enough to use the factory skirt mounting point under the body but my skirts do touch the body.


Mine fit up into the door jamb, right up to where the door sills are mounted.

Based on question #2, do you think you may have 404's? Kurt and I had a similar discussion to your second question a while back and it turns out the 404's don't go into the door jamb like my TRD replicas do.

Hmm that very well could be, although they are fibreglass which leads me to believe they would be reps, regardless if 404 or TRD. Or were the 404's in FG as well? I never really understood teh difference between TRD and the 404 skirts as they looked very similar to me, so maybe they are 404's.

I believe 404's are fiberglass as well but don't take my word for it. TRD's are more rounded and match the TRD front and rear splitters, but 404's are a bit more square in the front.

My replica 404 skirts are like you mentioned in point "1" of your OP, Colin.

The skirts curve under the chassis, but do not connect with it. And the upper portion tucks into the door jamb ever so slightly. You can sort of see in the picture ^^^ where the yellow turns to the skirt color.

My car is hopefully back on the road and completed this weekend, and then I'll hit the body panels hard and get them all mounted as well. (I'll be sure to take pictures for you), pretty sure I'm just going to rivet the skirts on.

Funny that I was standing next to my Celica when this thread came back up. Here are some better pictures of my TRD skirts.

Rounded at the front, not squared off like the 404's.

And last but not least, it's filthy under here but they do wrap back up to the body.

i even checked on rusty's trd thread of part numbers he created and nothing exists their. I couldn't even find a part number for the supposed OEM Factory option side skirts anyone have a oem part number for them. I looked here under 1999 ST202 SS-III and 96-98 SS-III non beams motor but couldn't find anything.

as you see only one sideskirt option exists...

no guy thats for the regular/optional and sometimes standard sideskirt found in USA.

well i picked up some genuine oem option sideskirts and got these bunch of part numbers

08150-20090/20100/20110/20120/20180. i was only able to find this on one skirt the other one didnt seem like it had any markings...

the only part number seeming to exist online is 08150-20180 but that seems to be for the 7th gen celica skirts.

I think for USA market was only one optional sideskirt was available.But I will double check what!
