the double side tape is still holding on most of the edge. the edge that goes between the door and the rear wheel. double side tape works fine especially if you plan on removing them off the car without damaging the paint too much. but for a more permanent install, there's this stuff that works much stronger and lasts longer my cousin uses for his customers and it's essentially the same stuff used to hold windshields to the car. i'll be considering this when i install new sideskirts to my next car.

I'm thinking of installing mine soon. I have placed the skirt on a large sheet of paper and cut out the outline of the skirt itself with box cutters and then poked the clips through the paper silhouette. i was planning on putting the silhouette on the car and using it as a template for drilling the holes. then putting the side skirt on and screwing the bottom on. also I plan on filling the rocker with rust proofing to avoid any rust. I live in Canada and I'm worried about the tape failing during the winter. Any suggestions??

Dont try to drill out the holes on the rocker panel, if even a single one is off by a few millimeters, and they will be, it wont fit correctly.
Doublesided tape works sspectacularly well along the top of the sideskirt. Adhere it to the car, then jack that side (put the jacks under the suspension not the pinch weld on the rocker panel since youre working here) and drill out the 6 or 7 holes along the underside of the rockerpanel for the clips. These are easier to drill since you already have a properly aligned sideskirt as a stencil.

Drilling out the holes is way to much work. Im just going to use self tapping screws with washers and the tape like you suggested.

Took me 45 min a side to install with the self tapping screws. And cost me $8 for screws and washers. The screws gave me more room for adjustment in order to get the skirt lined up.

now that its been a couple of years how are the screws holding up? I've heard they can get loose overtime? I've also heard they start rusting out which starts rotting out the car. have you had either of those problems?
