Well with that attitude.

Today I went to the junk yard and picked up a couple of airbag ecu's. Put one of them in and no more light. In the near future I'll be putting my wheel on.

yesterday I went to the salvage yard and picked up an igniter, O2 sensor, and ignition coil, and paid $11 for the coil while the other two accidentally fell into my pocket.

the O2 sensor and igniter didn't make much difference but today I take the dizzy apart, tg im obdI, to see if that's more likely my problem.
and I sprayed intake cleaner down it so I have to work to get it started, but I've got the next couple weeks off.

and when you put the Dizzy back in, turn the crank to 0 degrees by hand, and then what ? just make sure the tabs mesh with the slots on the dizzy? or is there something else to it?

aside from the obvious split in the case, when you ohm it out it fluctuates from as high as 25 ohms to 15, 10, 5, ohms and then it settles down to the .5 ohms it ought to read. so im pretty sure the coil is the culprit. when the coil wire is burning up, but not quite smoked yet, it will fluctuate like that.
it would just die when it was cold, and then after it warmed up it would be just fine, but it was getting worse.
the readings from the dizzy itself where within spec.

when I took the dizzy off I saw that it was only mounted with one bolt ! so I went back to pick and pull to find one and look what else was there













DUDE! I should go back down there and snag those quarter-glass sides just to hang them on my freaking wall!

Well today I decided to take a trip to the pick-n-pull and look at what I was able to purchase for $28 :




I have to go back tomorrow because I got a late start and they close at 3:00

We get charged sometimes more than brand new for parts from our wreckers... It's ridiculous... I got quoted $60 for the front turn signal alone... (And yes, I mean the disgusting orange one)

this is why five finger discounts are a big thing where i come from lol either that or go to dealers because its cheaper.

today i decided to zombie proof the next car that we get for the household my brother wants to have a go lol

Thanks MisterRay! I actually redid it last week with paint instead of the vinyl that was peeling because of my lack of decal-applying skills looks much better up close now, will have to upload a shot when I get a chance to clean it lol

Today I dropped the Celi off to get the door handle fixed and drove to work in this bad boy. I can't even begin to explain how awful this car is.
