Hey all im wondering what all i would need to build up my 3sge beams motor so i cab drop the compression and run a low (6/10) boost. Any info is appreciated. From what i understand i can put a thicker head gasket on it and drop the compression a little, get a custom turbo manifold and then go from there and run 6psi and be fine. But i want a little more power so.. any options?
Thanks

Blocks are very close but not exactly the same. Small differences exist. The only way you can drop compression enough to run a turbo would be to use low compression pistons. Thing is, lowering the compression on the beams kinds defeats the purpose of the engine. Plus you would be hard pressed to find a way to keep vvti functional while being able to tune for a turbo.

you dont need to lower compression. we have been boosting 2ZZ engine for YEARS!!! if you want to boost your engine, please do the research. you have a lot to learn

I know i can boost the engine, but not much, VVTI shouldnt be to big an issue, when the 2jz got VVTI it still was turboed and kicked ass.
