1989(titled as a '90 though), one of the first 4,000 ever made. Ehh, all stock unless you consider the Voodoo shift knob and the Grant mahogany wheel that's about to go in. Just in the process of bringing up to my standards at the moment, did a shifter turret rebuild and other small stuff here and there.

Probably the first thing I'll do is get a hardtop, I've only dropped the top once and that was on the way home the day I bought it.

the year its built doesnt make it that model year. they were all sold as 1990 here in the states the first year, same way the new lexus rc will be a 2015 even though it comes out this fall

look into suspension work and a good set of rims and tires, and for the love of god stay away from raceland coilovers

It was sold in August of 1989, so it was one of the cars all the old people fought over and paid too much for. laugh.gif

If I do suspension it'll probably be Flyin' Miata stuff. I thought about finding some lightweight 15's, but can't decide on how wide I want them.

Haven't checked yet, but apparently the viscous unit wasn't very good anyway. Finished up this:

That has to be one of my favorite interiors. It's just so simple and straight to the point. And you need to get an lsd if you don't have one. I hear it makes a substantial difference.

I like the rather simple interior as well, some cars' interior can be very busy looking. I'm not racing it or anything at the moment, so getting a hardtop and finding some NB2 seats is higher up on the priority list.

I'm not entirely sure if I really want to get into modifying it extensively though, there's just not that many original NA's around anymore. Everything I've done up until now has been maintenance or things that can be reverted in an afternoon, like the stereo and steering wheel. Maybe I'll get a NB2 if I want to go down that road.

Fair enough. Here's an updated pic of my crappy civic which is now less crappy. The thing actually handled pretty well. I think when I do some minor suspension upgrades it will be pretty fun to drive. I also need to fix the last it of the body damage and then plastidip it. Plastidip may not be the best but it's better than mismatched, faded paint.

It won't do any good . The clear coat is coming off parts of it.The hood and fender are new and have just been painted white with a rattle can. Plastidip will be fine, and cheap. Plastidip is my favorite solution for crappy paint. I don't know why people with good paint use it though.

Ahhh ok. On some older cars they still used single stage paint, usually can polish it out fairly well. Clear coat peel is a pain... Pretty bad to get peel on a white car though. You should use one of the chameleon PlastiDips.

That would be cool but I'm just going with white. I have a gallon of it left over from when I did my celica so I just need to order one additional gallon to do it. I may dip the roof black though but I'm not sure yet.
