So, its been 6 years since I've driven my car, and over the years I've purchased a lot and installed it all when the engine went back into the car... in this case, Polyurethane Motor Mounts.

Because I'm not used to this new engine (3SGE rev III) - I'm not sure how much vibration I should be expecting.

Can anyone share their experience with what they noticed with before and after the install of Poly mounts?

When Dustin first threw mine in, I expected some vibration, but really didn't get that much in the first 5 minutes of driving. Then I came to a stop light and the idle dropped down to 750 and I thought the car was about to shake itself to pieces. Things got smoother after a week or so.

I only had a front mount insert at that point. I can't imagine having both at once to break in. I knows there would be some vibrations and the inserts needed to be broken in but it really felt like the motor was about to jump through the hood.

Yeah both the front and rear are in at the moment... and we all know how much fun it is to get at the rear mounts... I'd hate to have to take it out now. kindasad.gif

Makes you wonder if those home brewed poly mounts were validated across the entire frequency spectrum possible by our engines for extreme NVH. kindasad.gif
