I just changed turn signal bulbs to LEDs (Pilot Brand) from Walmart and experiencing the same. So I ordered line load resistors made by the same manufacturer (sold at Autozone). I will let you know how they work. I will eventually change all bulbs to LED bulbs. O'Reilly sells line load resisters that are also easy to install.

Not sure about any in-line fuse or relays that can control that.
Hope this helps

I have LED's all around and my Flasher Relay just buzzes whenever I use the turn stalk.

No rapid flashing for me... Rapid flashing I could live with... tongue.gif

Excuse my language... But your load is too small...
laugh.gif

Now that thats out of the way.
The LEDs draw way too little current so it thinks that it has NO BULBS AT ALL and you actually don't have to spend any extra money to fix it.

Just take apart the dashboard and pull out the relay. There is a piece of metal soldered on there. unsolder it, and grab some 220 grit sand paper.

place it on its side, and sand it down to about 3/4 the thickness it was, solder it back on, and then test it out. if you get a hyper flash, take it out, unsolder and sand it down a more

Once you don't have the hyper flash, the resistance is set so that when bulb goes out, you'll get a hyper flash.

BUT heres the catch! this is only going to work for LEDs now, so if you want to switch back to regular bulbs, you won't be able to tell if one is out! laugh.gif wink.gif I can post a link to a tutorial later if you want, but I'm too lazy to find it right now

Hells yes, I'll take the link!
I've been trying to source a LED compatible relay to replace the factory one, but if I could simply modify the current one to work, I'M GAME.

Here ya go!

http://www.customtacos.com/forum/120-light...-resistors.html

Worked on my friends tacoma and its the same truck used in the guide. Our celicas may be a bit different, before going and hacking/sanding away, just make sure the relays are similar! Im going to be doing this when my other set of LED 1157s come in the mail.

If you do, do this, measure each time you shave away the metal so you can help other people later, just sanding it down to the right thickness, and once you get it right, Bam everyone can just sand it down in one or two goes instead of testing it a bunch!

Let me know how it turns out:D

Also i was wondering how you worked this... when signaling to turn, do you manually recreate the flashing effect??

Just order some load resistors. Problem solved;) I have them on my switch back leds. Work great and look kinda coll like little amplifiers. They are fairly cheap.
Something like these

So I bought a new relay, rated for use with LED's, and now I don't get any buzzing or lights. frown.gif

At least with the factory relay I can manually "blink" my turn signals, but with the LED relay I don't even get the lights. frown.gif

Hazards work, albeit the "hyper blink".

Any ideas?

Your hazards hyperblink as well? That's odd, with LEDs all around my hazards worked fine but I got a buzz for turns. Replaced the front turns with standard bulbs and I got the hyperblinking. I'm gonna be ripping apart my dash later this week so I'll be working on that turn signal relay and also my integration relay to see if anything is wrong with that. I'll let you know if the shaving of that metal "resistor" fixes hyperblinking.

I should elaborate.

With the "LED Relay" plugged in, nothing works flasher-wise. Turns or hazards.

With the factory relay plugged in, the hazards hyper-blink and the turns turn on and buzz.

Got hung up with hurricane weather again so only only getting out of the house today, I'll update tonight or tomorrow

Sorry for the delay, the weather persisted for longer than i expected. The relay looks the same as the one in the previous link i posted, i haven't had a chance to desolder and shave it down. Im debating weather or not to just leave it on and use some sand paper to shave it down slowly.

Any progress with this? Sorry to hear about the hurricane, that sucks! Hope you and your loved ones are safe.

I just tried to swap out the relay with 3 different "LED" rated relays, and nothing works. So in an attempt to modify the OEM relay for less resistance, I opened it up and it looks nothing like that link you've shared earlier, so I have no idea what part to grind down on this OEM relay to lessen the resistance.

Argh!

Hold on, after speaking with SBL tech support, it looks like I may have ordered the wrong Relay... hoping they can RMA this wrong one(s) for the correct one ASAP. tongue.gif

For the record; CF13GL-02 is the correct relay to order from www.superbrightleds.com.

I apologize in advance for reviving an old topic thread but I have recently been getting issues with my turn signals. I have changed the side markers to LEDs and I just changed my front turn signals to LEDs as well. I wired in the load resistors and that's when my problems started. The problem is that when my lights are all off (i.e. when i'm driving in the daytime) and I use my turn signals, all the lights in the front blink. That means both turn signals and side markers. But when I turn my lights on (just my driving lights without headlights) the turn signals work fine, I don't have any hyper blinking or anything but I have noticed that my side marker LEDs have been changing color (from amber to a reddish color). I was wondering if I possibly wired it up wrong or maybe I need a relay that is made for LEDs, if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it, and sorry again for reviving an old thread.
