the light isn't what is red, its the lens. You would need to make a custom lens.

my inspections deduct that it shouldnt be too hard to make one of sorts.... just pop out the red, and cut a clear piece out of say clear office light material.... the same stuff that jon uses to make out tails for us.... it might have to be glued in or something, but doesnt look that hard... ill take a stab at it in a couple of days.... maybe i can get a good prototype of this and start manufacturing them for people smile.gif

They are talking about the panels that cover flourescent lighting. They come in 2'x4' sheets in a few different styles. Some are clear... some are white. Make sure to get the acrylic ones cause the reg ones will break a lot easier. Not sure exactly what they are called. Most people just call them lighting panels i think.

The red is there for a reason. Since you open your door, it acts to simulate a brake light so someone driving by doesn't rip your door off, since the universal color for stop is indeed red. Just something you might want to think about. Customizing the light may hinder it's visability...so unless you feel you don't need doors, i'd leave it alone. Just my $.02.

teknique, I somewhat agree but if they cant see a blue light they arent gonna see red very well either

hell even if someone modded the light to say KEEP GOING i would brake for it as it is in my path regardless of its color smile.gif

i know thats what it may be for, but i have never heard/seen anybody have an occurance where that has saved their door from being taken off...
