Does the steamer really work. I looked into it, seems like some shops recommend it...

Surprisingly enough, it does. More noticeable for the less denser foam like the bottoms. The upper/back portions of the seats are pretty dense, so they don't take on as much of the steaming effect.

When you steam, you can actually see the foam puff back up again if look at it closely. As far as how long they'll hold up afterwards i guess will depend on how frequent the seats are being used.

Drafter/Project Coordinator for a company that handles post-tension work for structures. Basically same thing as I'm doing now but with the added responsibility of a PC with more pay.

So I got to ask, since when is 120k miles considered "low miles"

Today I spent part of my day on CL and became annoyed by this.

Depends on how old it is, 20 years old with 120K miles is only 6,000 miles a year. The average American does 15,000 miles a year, so half of that I'd consider lower mileage.

Sooooo, still haven't found anything.. redface.gif

Finding the Firebird and Corvette with a manual and it not being red isn't as common as it should be. I did find a T/A that might work, but of course it's 1,500 miles away and I don't do the whole sight unseen thing. There's also the Mustang, two of them semi-local but red... That and I had been bouncing around the idea of the NB Miata. Even though I like the Firebird more than the Mustang, I like how there's a million different parts. That and parts are considerably cheaper and it's easier to work on. I can get Tein suspension and Enkei rims for a Mustang. tongue.gif

I'll be doing that this weekend weather permitting. I'm gonna try the heat gun method on the windshield cowel as well to see if I can bring that back to life a bit.
