Since the front end of the Celica has many potential options on how to set up the lighting scheme, I was curious to see how they look at night. There's an idea I have (for the gt4 front end), but may need help on what wires/harnesses/bulbs to buy in order to set it up.

Not all at once now! Well here's what I am looking to do. I couldn't find any pics which would have helped explain a bit easier...but here goes. I have a 95' GT, with GT4 Front end(not yet put on)Let me know how this would work using the JDM Projectors and clear front indicators.
Low Beams - Headlights (HID)- H1 Low Beams Accent Slot - Blinkers (LED) - 1157? Front Indicators - Headlights (LED) - ? Fog Lights - Fog Light Kit - Separate switch - Side Markers - Disabled - High Beams - Normal set up - Basically I want the front indicators to be a second set of headlights that come on when I turn the low beams on. Along with the turn signals put within the low beam projectors. Also the bulb types would be very helpful if you know them. This post has been edited by Selly_Kuhman: Nov 7, 2014 - 9:22 PM |

So what I gather is you want LED strip headlights in the corner (turn signal) spot along with HID projectors in the usual low beam spot. You want your turn signals in the accent lighting bulb hole of the jdm projectors. Fogs in the usual spot on a gt4 High beams same as before. Is this correct? I can create a mock up of that when I get home in Photoshop. But one thing about the accent light in the housing, it needs to be REALLY bright or you won't see it much. You could, instead of getting jdm projectors, you could do a retrofit of a bullet or Gatling shroud with a halo and also Amber/white switchback LEDS, the projector assembly can be picked up from TRS (the retrofit source for a reasonable price). Clear lenses from ebay, and the whole project should cost under $300 not including any wire harness adapters that have to be made and xenon bulbs/ballasts Edit: if this is what you want a mock up of let me know so i can start it This post has been edited by Noahwhite2014: Nov 11, 2014 - 4:56 AM |

Although I was planning to have a regular LED/HID/Clear bulb (didnt matter as long as it was the same color as the low beam HID) in the turn signal slot that would be wired to the headlights. The strip idea does sound intriguing though....I will have to find a way to make the signals really bright in the accent holes of the JDM projectors since I already have them =( although your proposed project does sound like it may work better. My plan was to put amber bulbs onto the side marker lights, and put them in the accent holes since the plastic casing fits perfectly. (I would leave the side markers deactivated) The only concern I have is I dont know if the side markers would have the repeater which I was reading about in it. Also I noticed there are two wires going to the side marker light, where there are three going to the indicator light. Not sure why. If only the indicator's light casing was smaller and fit into the accent hole, this would make it much easier to set up. This post has been edited by Selly_Kuhman: Nov 18, 2014 - 2:19 PM |

I had a look at quad converting the headlights but I don't think the reflectors n glass were made to make the full beams into dipped one's. I did however quad convert my sidelights, changed the bulbs and the fogs to led one's and then blacked out all of the indicators. (check my thread) would like to see how the indicators look if they do get quad converted though. It would be a bit too illegal in the UK unfortunately so I can't do that lol
Here's how mine looks at the front https://fbcdn-photos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphot...d0625ac099d8b5b If the pic doesn't work just copy n paste into your browser as its not allowing me to paste the url in the img box This post has been edited by MisterRay: Nov 22, 2014 - 1:55 PM -------------------- "whoever said progress was a slow process... was probably talking about me" |

That looks sweet. I just got my HID's, waiting for my led bulbs for the parking lights and indicators to come in. One of my projector headlights is pretty scuffed up. Any idea how to remove the scratches/scuff from glass? Tried 1500/2500 grit sandpaper, toothpase, polish but it just left a little fog area. Saw a bunch of ppl who claimed they buffed theirs out using different kits, but when I look at the kit reviews some say it doesnt work at all. Was debating just bringing it to an autobody shop to see if they can do it.

You're going to need cerium oxide powder to polish the glass. sandpaper and toothpaste will work on plastic headlights but not on our glass ones! |
