So i have not found any info regarding trans swap options for 6 gen celicas, does anyone know if the LSD 5 speed trans from the 7th gen celica will swap into a 6th gen?

what trans came with the 5 speed levin silvertop 4age? I hear it was the c56 but does anyone know if they were lsd? the bellhousing on the 4age silvertop trans has the double humps, versus the single front hump on the 7th gen celicas

it will NOT bolt to the 5S-FE, it could mate the the 7A-FE with changing the bell housing. Its a C series trans so it should work. The starter is on the front of the engine on a ZZ engine and its on the back of the 7A.

yeah i realized that, other than that it looks like the shift linkage and mounts are the same, does anyone know how readily available they are in the states, and what would my options be for flywheel clutch combo?

does the trans from a silvertop 4age have a lsd> the bellhousing off the levins have the double hump for the starter

I own 4Age Silvertop for an AE101 with a c56 transmission, had to have it imported from japan which all together wasn't that bad in cost. However until now basically I didn't know that they had LSD equipped c56s, I knew that the blacktop 4a's offered a 6 speed M/T. The main issue I could see with finding a c56-01b is that by just looking at the shell you can really only tell if its a c56. If you have an A series engine the c56 will mount up and work cause its made for that style block. Best of luck to ya.

I thought the C60 was a direct fit for the 7A?

I haven't done much research on the c60, but I don't want a 6 speed trans which the c60 is I would like to find a c56 lsd
