Hey everyone,

Ive had a irritating squeek come from my RH rear brakes recently, so i decided to chuck the car onto some jackstands and have a look at whats going on.....

Turns out my stub axle is bent! Dont ask - I have no idea either. My assumption is its from the previous owner and ive only just noticed it! confused.gif

Anyway im trying to order a new stub axle and bearing assembly and im having trouble finding one in my local area. So can anyone reccomend a good online parts website? (or if anyone on here from NZ knows someone whos wreaking a celica)

Does anyone know if a toyota curren one would fit? Cause i may be able to nick one off my brothers parked up curren. The only diffenence with our cars is mine has disc, and his has drum brakes (if that makes a difference?)

Thanks for the help!

Hi Liam,

What year and model Celica are you driving? I have a 94 ST that I replaced or rebuilt all four wheel bearings, brakes, and other suspension parts last summer, so I kinda know what you are talking about, and might be able to help some if you could provide some photos along with what Celica you are talking about. As for buying parts, here in NC, in the US, I have mostly been buying parts from RockAuto.com, but don't know if they ship oversaes. I have also learned to use junked car lots to salvage hard to get, or very expensive replacement parts, such as the 'bent' steering knuckle on the right front, caused by hitting a curb, but not realizing the extent of damage untill mounting my summer project.

Over here, buying parts from Toyota dealers will wreck most people's budgets.

Regards,

Langing. (Bill)
