What were the 2 tickets for? The police officers near me aren't too bad, but that depends on how stupid you are behind the wheel, and we have tons of brain dead drivers near me.

Ya the cops that have stopped me all kinda like my car. But my tags are legal, all my lights work, and I don't have a silly coffee can muffler. Also if you're <25 they tend to assume your up to something, it gets better once you're older.

No issues here either, I've never even been pulled over much less received a ticket. If you drive like a sane person and don't do anything to attract the wrong kind of attention you should be fine. I.E. don't fall into the stereotypes that they're just itching to give a ticket.

I get pulled over AT LEAST once a week, not even just in my town. All over southern new jersey. Usually get away with no tickets but only because i know the law.
Once i start telling them how wrong they are and that they dont kmow what theyre doing, and they run my name and see how many tickets i got (and beat in court) they realize i know what im talking about and just let me go.
they think im dumb enough to get out the vehicle, let them search the car, let them ask passengers for ID, etc etc. I tell them they cant and they say "well we're allowed to ask" and i say "yea and im allowed to say no. Arrest me for hindering or let me go"

I think they just harass me because theyve never seen a 6gc before and think it's a super rare racecar (especially because im lowered with rims). Then they see a black kid with dreads and theyre like "oh we got one"

I started with what I know to do, I swap engine into my car, I knew it was too much work to make it a AWD. I kept it FWD. Went to take a crack at doing the wiring conversion. Than, I realize, shoot, this is out of my league.

That reminds me of an older Martin Lawrence skit, he got a D.W.B.(driving while black) Sadly it happens in this day and age still. You'd think they'd have a better test for weeding out power hungry racist murderers.

lol you know how much money the govern gets from writing all those BS tickets? Racism is way too lucrative to get rid of.
one day i hope it changes. But hey at least i have my 6gc <3

In my experience I can say it really is just Jersey. I have received 5 tickets in my life, 2 in Europe, 1 in PA 3 in NJ.

I drove in Europe for 3 years (2 legitimate speeding tickets)

Drove in Jersey for 2 years (1 improper passing, 1 speeding, 1 failure to observe officers directions in an emergency situation (yeah that one went to court)).

Driving in PA for 5 years (1 speeding (written as failure to observe sign) ticket. (Was late for work, ended up later lol)).

I can say however, that I have never had cops FOLLOW me and run my plates more than in NJ. Even pulled over once because of it, cop pulls behind me and walks over and goes "what seems to be the problem?" I say "I was pulling over to call 911 because a car has been following me and tailgating me for 3 miles now". He promptly walked away and drove off.
It's really sad that they are like that there.

Separate example, right before winter out here in PA I was stopped by a local cop around 10pm. He tells me my lights are out, I check, they weren't (grounding issue I had been having), asks "Have your license? Been drinking?"
I say "Yes, No"
He says "Have a good night".

Whole stop was literally 45 seconds.

A legitimate stop for a safety issue, investigated, found I wasn't a hazard and the lights were back on... and on his way he went.

at least in the old days you could always tell when there's a Crown Vicky behind you. Now you never know what they are driving could be a Taurus, Explorer, Charger, you name it. Around here the highway patrol has a Gold Tahoe, it even says State Patrol on the back of it but its in a color you wont see until you're right up on him.

I've found that I'm left alone no matter what part of the country I'm driving in. But I have friends that drive like complete tools that always seem to be getting tickets.... Coincidence?
