I am unsure of the proper name for the part, but mine has developed cracks and splits. It's the piping that runs from the air filter box to the top of the engine. I can't seem to find any auto shops locally that carry it. I would love to replace it with a cold air intake, but I am doing an engine swap later this summer, so depending on price I may decide to just go for the OEM part. Please let me know if you have either available and what you would be looking for shipped to 20678.

Might as well buy it new from the dealer. A used won't last you very long. They tend to wear out quick.

True enough, and good point. If I stick with the OEM piece all I need is for it to last 6 months to a year, when I have the engine swap completed. Ideally I would like to find a Cold Air intake that would work for b oth the 5SFE that's in there and could be shifted over to the 1MZ or 3MZ when I swap in the next 6 months or so.

Why don't you buy just a cheap eBay short ram intake? Its like 25$ shipped. I just threw one away because I upgraded to injen Sri.

That would be perfect for what I am looking for right now. The only SRIs that I was able to find specific to the 6GC was the Injen or the DragonR and would run me around $200. I am still pretty new to the mechanical side of this, and don't know how to tell if one of the many others online will fit. Would anyone be able to provide a suggestion for specific SRI that we know fit and work well on our cars? I am prepared to spend the $200 if I need to, but I would rather put some of that toward some Projectors and the JDM tails.

Ok, so strike that. I just replied a little while ago, but since I am apparently still new, it won't show up for me to edit for a while. I believe I have in fact found the SRI that you were talking about. Just wondering if someone with more experience than myself can peek at it and confirm that this is the right one and if anyone has any thoughts on how well it works.

BCP Blue Short Ram Intake

Thanks all.

Thanks again for that advice. I ended up doing just that, and I should have it delivered to me early next week.
