It will be all custom mounting, body panel cutting, welding, etc. if you want to do it, good luck I haven't seen any and personally I don't think the lines flow with each other at all. An FRS front end conversion might flow a little better but will still look like two cars Frankensteined together This post has been edited by Noahwhite2014: May 2, 2015 - 6:44 PM |

I've thought about a 5th gen front on a 6th gen body, at least it'd flow and might be halfway feasible.

If you want a car that's like Lego's than you need a Honda not a Toyota.

That doesn't have much to do with anything, very few cars have body panels than span actual generations. I.E. facelifts don't count. Only cars I can think of with interchangeable body panels are sister cars of the same generation, and sometimes even then it can take a fair amount of work or may not be feasible.

Are you kidding me? Hondas you can change front ends with ease lol. Eg on ek or ek on eg or Del Sol on eg or ek. It's Lego's for adults... Worse I've ever seen was ek front end on a Crx.... Its super easy to change front ends on Hondas..

The civic code Eg is 92-95 and ek is 96-2000. 96-98 have different front ends than 99-2000. Del Sol is 93-97 different front ends 93-95 and 96-97. Crx well a good Crx is 1988-1991 any other Crx isn't worth owning. All are able to be converted between one and another with ease. Aka Lego's for adults.

Civic, CR-X, Del Sol, and Integra are all sister cars.
It's not like you can put a Prelude front onto a Civic and vice versa. This post has been edited by Box: May 3, 2015 - 12:12 AM -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

I guess they are sister cars I was just saying front end conversations are most popular on Hondas given you have so many choices. Any 90s civic with go with any other 90s model even if it's a different generation. Eg and ek are both civics just different generations. Like a 6gc can't have a 7gc front end but a civic can be changed within generations for the most part.

I know what you mean, before I gave up on social media I'd see people mixing and matching presumingly because they kept crashing. The 4th, 5th, and 6th gen Civic were quite similar to each other and especially the 5th and 6th. I haven't seen any mixing outside of those years though.
It's almost how domestics used to be, you could mix and match Chevelle, Cutlass, Skylark, Tempest, and El Camino parts here and there if you really wanted. Ford and Chrysler had similar situations, though not as vast as GM. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

The Curren front end is a direct swap as it was the coupe version in Japan.

Here ya go. Looks pretty nifty as the liftback as well. Not many over here, so it'd be unique.

Why do a conversion at all? The 6gc is already very unique with great lines. I can understand the curren conversion for coupes or GT4 for hatches. You obviously want some thing other than a celica, why not just buy the car you want it to look like. That's what I would do, and then just work on the celica to get it into pristine condition. If it is not already there. Just my $.02

Personally I think it would look terrible. The 7gc and 6gc have different lines that wouldn't match. Either do a gt4 front end or a curren if you can find one.

NOOO!! Save the curren front ends for the people with coupes. Like me! I wish I had the money for a coupe so I can use the curren front sitting in my dads shop. Whenever I have the money the next car I buy is going to be a silver GT coupe. -------------------- |
