Good luck on that, they seem pretty rare these days.

If you don't mind using aftermarket parts the Megan Racing shifter for the 7GC is quite good for the money and is a direct fit.

I have the ralco rz short shift for the 6gc its not bad at all. I also changed my shifter cable bushings with polyurethane bushings as well. Getting out OEM bushings isn't easy tho.. Also if you order ralco or any shifters get extra locking washers or whatever they are called. I lost both when installing my shifter so I had to make a trip to hardware store and grab some with my shifter half way working lol.

The Megan kit comes with aluminum bushings, I think they helped more than anything and definitely was worth the hassle.

I have a TRD Quickshifter for sale.

$270USD + shipping, but I'm in Australia so that will be expensive.

That is around the going price anywhere around the world.... so if you find local it will be cheaper, but I spent 2 years trying to find mine (which is saying something if you knew how many rare Celica parts I could get at the tip of a hat). I have exams for the next couple of weeks and it is still on the car, so nothing will be happening on my end until the 23rd June.

Let me know if you are interested smile.gif

Edit: Also, 7th gen shifters are a CLOSE match. They are nowhere near a perfect match (some critical sizings are just wrong). Sure could be worth it for a try for $20 off eBay but I know people here who paid big money to import them and took them straight out.

It was an improvement over stock, and many here like them. Though I can't remember for sure but I think the Megan might make the shifter lean to the left some, which would explain why people that drive on the wrong side of the car wouldn't like them. tongue.gif

7th gen works ok, just very notchy, but it is much nicer and shorter, if you care more about looks
