My Pontiac>your Pontiac.
I think it was the '91-93 you could get the GTP package with the DOHC 3.4 V6 and a 5-speed, that wouldn't be a half bad car. Maybe. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

They offered the GTP package on this body style from '91-96 but I think only gave us the 5 speed till '93 before the interior upgrade and panel changes. Though I have heard nothing but bad things about the DOHC 3.4... It is much more powerful and quicker than the 3.1 though! I think with the right owner, they are great cars! But I would take an 88-90 GP Turbo over anything. 5 speed ASC McLaren 3.1 Turbo. GPT>your pontiac. |

Hardly, mine's a '79 Firebird putting out twice the power. Even if it had the original boat anchor it'd win on cool points alone.
I will say where GM screwed up was by not offering a manual transmission with the later supercharged 3.8 Grand Prix, a real missed chance there. Oh well, I guess they just didn't have a transmission on hand that could've handled it and didn't want to develop one. That or they figured the market just wasn't there, they stopped offering it on the DOHC 3.4 for a reason I suppose. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Lol okay I'll give you that. Firebirds are awesome cars!! And yeah it's a shame they didn't use them with the 3800sc because it would be dangerous! Though I've seen many people swap them into 5sp. Fieros and be able to keep it manual. Something I'd like to do if I get my hands on a 5sp grand prix or tranny swap.

In case anyone is curious what I've currently landed on... Still have the Soarer? I'd love to take a ride in an NSX sometime just to see how they feel. -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates. Nope. The Evo and soared are both gone. Also had a 240 for a short while (that thing felt so light!)
Sold the sparer to this guy, who sold it a year or so later: http://youtu.be/WCCsIzz382c Just the nsx and a DD atm. Working on another car, and the nsx is for sale (harder to move a s/c on, especially in the northeast) I saw the supra. Looks great This post has been edited by Consynx: Jun 12, 2015 - 12:07 PM -------------------- |

I can't decide which I like more, the NSX (must be a kick in the pants x3 +SC) or the Mister. Then again, easy decision to experience the glory of Senna tuning.

It looks orange in that picture. I know i get asked all the time, "so... is it red or orange?" I just tell them the title says red but sitting in the hot Arizona desert for however long turned it orange. hahahaha. -------------------- *1997 Celica ST - 3SGE Greytop BEAMS *1977 Celica RA29 - Classic Cruiser *2005 Matrix AWD - dedded but still hanging around like a ghost 2019 Rav4 XLE Premium - Sports mode is fun. |

The NSX costs considerably more than a MR2, so the answer should be obvious.
It's red-orange! There, now everyone can be right. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed
