I ordered a set of Anodized Aluminum shifter cable bushings from ebay.

However, the set the sent me turned out to be too tall, and I could not get the cotter pin through the eyelid hole.
Has anyone had any previous recommendations with this brand, or have recommendations of bushings that have worked for them?

I just went to a lathe and got some made, 30 minute job, perfect fit, no shipping fees and wait time.

If you've got the $$$, get these. Spherical bushings allow for a more natural cable actuation. I have solid brass bushings right now - really dig 'em, you can feel a notchy difference paired with a 7gc short shifter - but I'll be picking these up soon.

They're for the MKII MR2, but they'll fit our cars, IIRC

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I know and I have access to a lathe, its just hard to fit them in as a side project at work.

I ended up putting the set I bought off ebay into a lathe at work to fix them. For anyone curious, our cars use one large and one small bushing. They should both be 14.75mm in height. The smaller bushing that i bought was 16.75mm and hence why it would not fit. I trimmed it down and was able to use it.

Whats interesting about the set I bought, is that it is made of hard plastic.

I've bought the Torque Solutions bushings before. I won't lie, I think the worn factory rubber bushing felt better and had less play. I used a skateboard bearing for the smaller bushing and put my factory rubber bushing back in the bigger cable and forgot all about the Torque Solutions bushings. Some MR2 guys complained about the Speed Source bushings, saying they were too solid and wore their shift cables out, but who knows how much wear was on their cables before the install. I may check out the Twos R Us bushings though.

Interesting. Haven't driven the car yet, but it didn't seem like much of a difference from just shifting it in the driveway.

We need to verify that the Two's R Us set fits our cars.

Link says 2000 and up but twm says 94+ celica. I had the torque bushings and lets just say... I hate them... I just ordered the twm bushings. I know its not cheap but sometimes it pays to pay... Quality isn't cheap.
