Yep I wanted coil overs but teins are $1200 while springs are only $170. Since I have brand new kybs sitting around it seemed like the best thing to do.

The Tein and KYB setup was pretty good, was better once I had seats worth a damn.

Today I...(last night really), removed and replaced wheel bearings in the garage. In the process I broke both ABS speed sensors, hell I had to burn one out it was so stuck in there. Well, at least I got the knuckles all built back up and ready for install. Now to find some sensors.
Pulling the hub out Bad pic, but you can see the corrosion on the end of the hub, after it got all cleaned up it wasnt so bad (a bit pitted now though) A pic of the bearing assembly while still in the hub. |

Yesh, you.
I had Tein and KYB on mine, but I also had new mounts and an alignment done immediately afterwards. I never had issues with bottoming out and a lot of our roads are crappy tarred in gravel. If so it could be your struts as my KYB's were different than how they are now. Mine were silver and stamped with KYB USA, whereas now they're black and stickered. Side note, nice car by the way. Part of me wants to get a black GT to swap. This post has been edited by Box: Jul 28, 2015 - 4:17 AM -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Maybe if there were cookies involved. The delicious crisp crunchy kind too, not those gross soft mushy ones. Cookie, that's a crunchy word and not a mushy one.

If you didn't replace the mounts that's very possible then, as it's always suggested to replace them when doing lowering springs and struts. Though for as cheap as the Megan EZ-Street coilovers are these days a lot of people go that route for their price compared to new struts, mounts, and lowering springs.

Finally, after over 5 years of seraching, managed to get my hands on a set of side skirts that didn't cost me an arm and a leg. OEM, and they even came with a set of SS3 rears and a WRC hood spoiler (Which is currently for sale )

On my way back from Oklahoma, I discovered that my driver side outer CV boot is ripped and all the grease gone. So took it to local GoodYear and end up replacing the whole shaft for $250 - 10% discount. Since I bought tires from them, rotation and balance was free and also got power steering fluid flushed and replaced. Car drives better now.
