I noticed with the rear seats down the sixth gen was noticeably louder inside.

Ditto for the 7G. It's not a loud car but I wanted to see if I can tame some of the noise intruding to the cabin from the rear, especially from the exhaust which isn't loud but I can easily hear on/steady/off throttle changes in the cabin when cruising on the highway. I get more wind noise than anything else at highway speeds so any other noises I can cheaply and easily tone down are appreciated.

I still had the factory exhaust on mine, so you couldn't hear it when running unless you were right next to it. I don't seem to recall any issues with wind noise though.

Just moved the Firebird around to make it to where it was ready to load onto a trailer or dolly and it rolls in drive again. I'm beginning to think it's possessed.

6G's didn't have trackless windows did they? That's where most of the noise comes from, and the sunroof that's not adjusted just right.

I guess you mean frameless windows? Which would be a yes, and mine had the moonroof as well. Though on the 6th gen the moonroof was thick glass and not the cheap plastic composite used on the 7GC supposedly to save weight.

If they make a sunroof visor just get that. tongue.gif Then get some window visors too. If you haven't conditioned the window seals that might help some.

I like the stock look. I'll deal with a little wind noise, it's not that bad for a little girly sporty car.

It's only girly if it's the base automatic. redface.gif

Well I have no clue with the guy off eBay, I had countered with 4 and they just straight up declined. So I sent a message asking why they didn't counter instead, or if they changed their mind that was fine too. So I get a message back saying he doesn't do the back and forth game and what was my cash price. So I said I was wanting to end up at $3,500(not saying that was my ultimatum or anything) and I can't help but notice I lost a watcher and haven't gotten a reply. What the Hell... Oh how I wish I had a lift and workbench, I'd ****ing do it myself for $80 and then just keep it.

Lost another watcher, guess that trend will only continue from here until it ends this afternoon. I guess no one wants it so I guess I'll keep it.

Well today I did some work to the grand prix. I have all of the parts it needs and have been doing work to it every chance I get. Today was replace a tie rod end and the heater hose. I also tried to get the rear strut off but the bolts didn't budge no matter how many wrenches and breaker bars I went through. Along with soaking it with penetrating spray multiple times. Going at it again tomorrow and hopefully I can get it off. So close to having this thing done!!!!

If you have a bottle torch give that a go and then hit it with penetrating oil. A soldering iron would also work but it'd be more localized and will take longer.

Working on painting my front emblem for the Celica, it's gotten stone pitted over the years so I sanded it down smooth, laid some white paint on it, let that dry, laid some red, dried it too fast and had to sand it back down smooth, laid another red but dirt fell in it so I had to sand that lightly again, drying it in the oven now so I can lay a FINAL coat of red in the damn basement with no dust, damn the paint fumes!

Today I drove the s2000 more miles than I have in the previous 3 months.
New daily plus crazy busy at work means the s2000 hides in the garage during the prime driving months frown.gif

Not my first choice due to colour and T-tops, but if it were a local car I'd probably say screw it and buy it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pontiac-Firebird-F...em=231641484562

Not yet. Have plenty of views and watchers again, just no one messaging or offering yet. Which being a BIN w/OBO and not an auction I don't understand why one would just watch it for fun. Also turns out a friend of mom's is wanting one, which I'd just sell it for whatever I have in it at that point. Which from what I can find on eBay $5,000 should get me a really nice 1-2 owner sub 100K miles LT1 Firebird, including the one I shared just now I've seen at least two more with the T56 anyway sell for right around $5,000 that were low owner and mileage and in great shape. For some reason an equivalent LS1 car is a lot more, even a '98 over the '97 LT1. Given what I want to do with the car I rather save a grand or two and get the LT1 leaving money to put towards suspension and other small things.

Just buy a car you do not have to work on it
