I could just strangle the sumbitch that screwed up the transmission, thanks to his incompetence I'm getting screwed over yet again. I hate my life, fibro may not kill you but damn if I didn't wish it would at times.

Do you even sleep No I don't, thanks to this damned disease... Relisted car yet again, now for considerably less money and with more guilt. I won't be able to fix it, don't even know why I bothered thinking I would be able to. What I get for being stupid and thinking I'd be able to get something done for once these days. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

e36 might be cool. I've always wanted an M3 or M5. Euro cars are fun, I love mine. However parts can be a tad on the pricey side. Anyway the 914 needs a carb rebuild as it's leaking fuel from the carbs onto the engine. I swear that car just wants to catch on fire.

Meh, it's like most vehicles it'd be all fine and dandy until it needed worked on and/or a super expensive part replaced. I'm serious about the '99-00 Miata in Twilight Blue Mica, Brilliant Black, or Emerald Mica. I'll make myself fit somehow. I'm tired of every other F-body listing having something broken from abuse, and LS1 prices are just stupid. Honestly right now I'm just tired of domestics and their bull. I found a nice 280ZX, but when you think about it the Miata makes more/same amount of power and weighs like 500 pounds less.
Hmm, perhaps should look into fuel injection conversion from later years. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Already up to 12 watchers and over 350 views since this morning... Maybe this means someone will genuinely want it this time around, that or the universe just really likes to mess with me. Either way. The only issues with the Miata is Fall is closing in, so there's that group of people that'll "hold out until Miata season" to sell. Then again in theory there should also be those "winter deals to be had" or something like that. I really need to find a NB1 to at least sit in and see how I fit. I know the NA6 my shoulder was buried into the door panel, but I seem to recall the NB1 my uncle had wasn't as bad but according to online specs the NB has the least amount of shoulder room. Who knows.

Go the NB, whack a hard top on it and job done. Fun, reliable and easy to work on. When I had the door panel pulled off the NA6 my shoulder still up against the metal of the door... My issue is shoulder room, have plenty of headroom since I'm 5'10" and plenty legroom with a 30" inseam. Have plenty of hiproom as well at 36", just the whole 54" inches of shoulders fitting into a car with about 50" of shoulder room is the problem at hand. Most of the time I'd just steer with my left hand to try and keep everything off of the door panel. I had a similar issue with the Celica as well, shoulder was up on the door panel but at least it wasn't buried into it. It's like Japanese designers didn't have people as broad around as Kei cars are wide in mind, or something.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVUtdlzrktI I did that on my wind shield, thought I needed new wiper blades because they were streaking some and leaving some water behind. Nope. Well I didn't do the glass polish step, just the razor blade and clay. I've clayed the glass before, the razor really makes a difference. I'm going to go do the hatch glass in a few minutes.

Hmm, interesting. Maybe the next car I have it'll be worth doing all of that. The Firebird with its mechanical fan blows **** all over the windshield, if leaves have fallen onto the cowl it'll just blow them up everywhere. Speaking of it in less than two days I'm already up to 16 watchers and over 500 views, so who knows...
Still not entirely sure on what to get next. The Miata was fun in retrospect, just didn't like the cramped shoulder room and how it rode. Looked up some interior pics of the NB and their door panels are channeled out, so maybe that's why it seemed less cramped to me. Here's the NA versus the NB so you can see what I mean: I guess that cutout was enough to make the difference. The other options would be a 300ZX or 240SX, that or the unicorn SC300 and MKIII Supra. I'm just not sure about the F-body anymore, it'd have to be a one or two owner with low miles for me to trust it enough. Too many listings seeing where they borked the T56 of all things or blew the motor(oddly enough the LS1 more often than the LT1) has me wary, I don't think I've ever seen a Miata listing where something had broken from abuse. Euro cars just scare me in general, and the only other RWD Japanese car would be the RX-7 or the older Z cars. Holy Bajeebus, coilovers for the Miata are cheap now. Only $550 for the Tein Street Basis, and $650 for the Street Advance which adds the 16 step dampener adjustment. Koni STR.T shocks and FM springs are over $500... That and some Yokohama S.Drive or BFGoodrich Sport COMP-2 tires and it should handle like it's on rails. Still need to find a NB1 to check out, hopefully it rides a lot nicer than the NA6.

WOOOOOOO HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! LET'S ALL GET DRUNK!! DRINKS ON THE BIRTHDAY BOY!!!!
Anyways Technically yesterday I finally finished replacing a rear strut in the Grand Prix! All it needs now is for me to bleed out the brakes, get a tire, and replace the valve cover gaskets as well as little misc. problems. Which leads me to this question... What all would I have to remove to get to the rear valve cover? It's a 1st gen 3.1 MPFI. Another thing I did was I pulled off the distributor on the celica to change the O-ring in hopes hat it was the reason the oil was leaking from it but when i pulled the distributor out and held it in my hand, oil started rapidly dripping from it. With it concerning me, I took it all apart to see oil had been getting inside the distributor. Not sure if the o-ring inside is bad too or what but the distributor itself works great. I just don't know if it's time for a new one. I would hope not because I am completely broke. |

Depending on what car I end up getting that's something I'd like to do is LED lighting for all of the signal and marker lights, especially if I smoke the tails. Though the last time I looked around it was a small fortune to get good LED bulbs. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed
