• Car is highly modified has an imported ST205 rebuild engine in and the car is completely smog legal. It is to the best of my knowledge the only one in California that has passed the BAR to be smog legal, sticker affixed to door jam. Car has 118k on it, the engine and parts have just over 100 miles on them. Car is very fast and a blast to drive. It is only boosting .5 BAR right now, but the plan was to go to 1 BAR as a daily driver. I am selling the car because I have a family now and this takes a back seat. It is hard to let the car go because I have put so much into it. Below are the mods to the car, along with them everything on the car works such as AC, windows, power everything, etc.

Asking $8000 OBO

List of Mods

• 3rd Gen 3SGTE Fully Rebuilt with CP pistons 9:1 86.5(timing belt, water pump, oil pump, Toyota gasket kits, etc)
• ACT Stage 3 6 Puck Clutch kit
• Steel Breaded Clutch Line
• Transmission Rebuild with Spyder LSD
• Motegi 18in Wheels
• BFGoodrich Pilot Super Sport
• HPC Coated Turbo, Heat Shield, intake/ex manifold
• HPC Coated Custom Exhaust
• Greddy Profec II Boost Controller
• Toyota Projector Headlights
• Tein Coilovers w/ Cusco Pillow Mounts
• Poly Engine Mounts
• Front and Rear enlarged sway bars w/ BB end links
• Toyota Rear Strut Bar
• Brembo Slotted Cyrogen Rotors
• TWM Short Shifter w/ Billet Aluminum Knob
• S2000 Antenna
• Alpine 9857 radio
• New Toyota Mats
• New Brake Pads
• New 90A Alternator
• New Battery
• New Belts
• New Condenser fan
• All New Fluids

for what you are asking, which i think its a fair starting price. i would put great pictures here, instead of linking to craigslist, since we know how craigslist can go finniky.

looks like a good car, but get some pictures over here, you may generate more interest

I dont believe that its barred correctly, since gen 3 3sgte never came to us in any toyota or vehicle stock/favtory, 1994 im guessing u used a 94-95 mr2 turbo engine for refrence, but gen 2s have egr, so something aint right, even if u manage to get a bar sticker, the minute they check for the egr valve under the hood and its not visible or there, it will fail smog. Thats a given

It is difficult to believe, but it is BAR certified. They did use a MR2 for reference. The car does have an working EGR system that I imported from Europe. Also, I will post more images in the post body, thank you for the suggestion.

I can give you 3 grand for it. Please don't take this as an insult, but buying projects is always risky business and I'm only willing to accept a loss of 3 grand, no more.

You make it sound like its half built.
I wouldn't call a motor swap and rebuild much of a project.

"Is this just fantasy"

Anyway he can ask whatever he wants, and unless somebody is offering something more than "I wish I hadn't just (fill in the blank), or I would buy it.", the other guy can offer whatever he wants.

My only opinion is that there seem to be A LOT of 3sgte swaps and full gt4 conversions for sale right now. With more options, it becomes a buyers market.

The one viable question that hasn't been asked is:

What kind of care and maintenance has the car seen in the 3+ years since the motor was rebuilt and put in, since it's only seen 100 miles since then.

The engine was rebuilt about 6 months ago and I installed it 1 month ago. Full rebuild with Toyota parts (gasket kit, oil/water pump, ect. + CP pistons) and all new fluids. Very busy so took me a bit to get it back in.

Noted as rebuilt 2 years ago:

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...p;#entry1021660

Engine only sale noted as rebuilt in April of 2012:

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...mp;#entry960880

So are you saying this has been rebuilt 6 months ago, or 3.5 years ago....... Or 3 separate times in the last 3.5 years......

And the CP pistons are noted in the FS from 3.5 years ago.

I don't mean to be a dick but saying it was rebuilt 6 months ago is untrue to your previous FS posts.

Clarification will help you sell.

The first post was for the first engine removed from a 1996 ST205 front clip that I imported and rebuilt. I decided to just install the engine instead of sell apart from the car and I ended up selling the car to my brother in 2013.

About 9 months ago my brother spun a bearing on the car and ending up selling it back to me. I purchased a ST205 short block from urbandork on this forum and did another rebuild. This is the engine that is in the car now.

So to answer your question the engine that is in the car has only been rebuild once.

I completely understand the confusion and have no problem clarifying.
