I give up. Apparently he didn't bother reading the part where the Firebird needs trans work.

Ye, he said something about meeting up somewhere and I'm like... Kinda can't...

I think I'll just keep it and then we can rot away together.

Cheaper than a coffin.

You should have agreed to meet up and then showed up with it on a trailer. Oh hey, maybe get a trailer to add to the sale to sweeten the deal?

If I set it on fire with me in it that'll save on funeral and cremation costs too.

He's like an hour and a half away, I'm not that evil.

OKAY then, apparently there was lots of confusion and misunderstanding. Apparently he did know it needed the work, but for some reason he was wanting to meet up halfway just to so I could see the Accord. I was like, the Firebird is my only car and well you kind of need to see the Firebird too before you decide yourself. So now he's supposed to be here around five tomorrow so he can see the Firebird while I see the Accord. He sent some pictures I'll try to get up here for some second opinions. It has about 160K miles on it, the speedo sensor went out at 158K something a few weeks ago. Says A/C and all works, has new tires, but just needs the sensor now. So I guess all in all if it checks out it's a fair trade.

Looks like could use some polishing and cleaning, but that aside looks fairly decent. The best part is it's not red. laugh.gif

Clear coat looks faded on the hood but not bad besides that. It really needs a good cleaning and waxing with a good interior detail. I'd drive it.

Yeah, clear on hood and carpet looks like the worst of it. Nothing a steam cleaner and soap and then some time with the orbital and some polish can't help bring back. The fact it's blue pearl on black leather helps it more than anyone else would know.

Yep I'd say do it if he is still interested in it. It would probably be a good dd.

Yeah, having A/C again will be nice. Just the other day with it 68º outside I was using it in my brother's Genesis. laugh.gif

Today I learnt that a lot of USA people don't have one of these in their homes.. is that true?

Also I came across a rebuilt TRD LSD to suit E series boxes - E51/52/58/153

Is that a huge dent on the driver side just before the wheel?

I was thinking the same myself, but from the second picture the sheen is even and it seems to be the the way the wheel arch is done. I'd know for sure had he come by today, but around 4 got a message saying couldn't make it today. That's okay it decided to rain all day anyway and I didn't particularly feel like standing out in it for 30+ minutes.

Well I haven't heard from him since the day he was supposed to come see it, so I guess he changed his mind. Oh well that's ok, at this point seeing something else sitting in the yard would just feel off.

Beautiful day in my city, decided to take out the 914. It hasn't been started in two months , but after hooking the fuel lines back to the carbs, it fired right up! Say what you want about aircooled vw engines but damn they're reliable.
