It's hard to tell exactly how the engine note is with that exhaust you have. You didn't stay on throttle for long. But glad to see your work is pretty much done

Ya no way the V6 is going to be louder than the 4 banger. Only thing I dislike about the V6 it doesn't sing that high like a 350z

Sounds great.
We put a 2gr in my friend's deuce and used a 2.5" greddy w/ a custom b pipe. That thing sings like no other. People say it sounds like a Ferrari...and I kinda agree. -------------------- |

If they're a masochist like you. Congrats on getting it up and running though. Now you get to revamp your front suspension and try to find some tires to handle it, wooo more fun.

Super strut and 225/45R17 tire/wheel combo. Super strut handles torque steer better than double wishbone because of King pin inclination Angle in other words straight line driving is better, while the double wishbone has more camber. But I know you wouldn't convert
Also you'd need a rim with a +45 offset so scrub radius is as best as possible(since that's stock offset). Which I see you have a +33 offset with TRD. Like these if they truly are +45 offset(description is quite odd) http://m.ebay.com/itm/JDM-Toyota-Celica-ST...7844?nav=SEARCH This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Nov 27, 2015 - 5:33 AM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

to be honest, the reason i did the 2gr swap and ditch the beams, is i want parts available. I am dumping jdm parts, that are or will be a problem in the next 10 - 15 years. I want to keep my celica for that much longer. Or More. So in 15 years i dont want to pay an eye for the parts.
Unfortunately, the gt4 hood, has to stay for obvious reasons.... So superstrut is out of the question, while parts available now, and expensive, god knows what it will be in a couple of years. the 2gr swap is now documented, and its not a dream. Its possible, now i do have some more tweaking to do, in the next months, but its not like anyone is going blind anymore. While its pricy, its probably going to last me.... if anything, maybe a supercharger, or ems in the future. There is a possibility of using lotus ECU, but thats another couple thou more i dont want to spend. I need to figure out the A/c, too as well. but since its cold, im not rushed.... -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... It does sound like a ferrari, but one from the 70's & 80's not like a 458 Italia. Which is okay, but means that we the import tuner world must go back to the lab and figure out which eBay part makes our cars sound like ferarris. Thats what the goal is isnt it? You can definitely see in that video that 1st gear is a waste. Sad but 2nd gear is probably the puller from hell! 6spd swap time? lol -------------------- 1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situation エキサイティングカーレーシングチーム! march 2010 COTM : 6GC feature 2014 : january 2015-2016-2018 COTM |

I can figure you out a non computer controlled AC circuit, but there won't be a WOT cut out on it sadly but it would be easily setup with a window switch to cut the compressor off over XXXX RPM, possibly a WOT switch could be fashioned by tapping into the pedal position sensor circuit.

And your considering more power in the future ha. I never saw the purpose or logic in having a car with gears you can't even put power down with. But you know more than I for sure.
I figured you'd be okay with the power of beams, but new it probably wasn't satisfying with the extra weight of the convertible. -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

Just relegate 1st to a burnout/granny gear and rev it up and dump the clutch starting in second, it'll all work out. I would say look into changing gear sets or even just the final ratio, but I doubt there's much out there in the way of options.

P0705 is the same code the VVT 1MZ would throw. its too bad because that would be perfect to run the 3MZ. cable throttle and VVT.
