If you guys did want to try somewhere in Iowa to be more centralized,
Let me know. I live middle of Iowa and can be of help.

Also, I wish i could make it to the meet but my 99 GT has rod knocking issues at the moment.

Just keep us updated on how many are coming so we know how much food to bring, and also they should know to bring old shoes and clothes to go hiking in. Not that I think we'll do much hiking in the water in April but it's best to be prepared.

We usually have the meet just outside of Chicago just to keep it somewhat centrally located to as many people as possible, although we aren't opposed to moving it. You don't have to bring your Celica to attend the meet, you're welcome to come in any car you have! Last time I was at a meet, some loser tried to disguise his Matrix as a Celica by swapping out wheels, as if we wouldn't notice.

Then there's that other guy who is super dedicated to the meets and never misses a single one, and he always supplies the meets with torque because he knows we all drive Celica's so nobody else will bring anything with any torque.

We'll most likely bring Stacy's car. IF I can get the GS to behave itself for more than a few hours, I'll bring it.

We could've Caldina swapped Stacy's car for the amount of money the stupid GS has eaten in the last year.

Don't you have an LS as well? I feel like I'm two cars behind.

I can't enjoy any of the warmer weather. I'm buried under an ever growing to-do list.

Skyler resembles that statement.

What's wrong with the GS?

My guess would be that the previous owner rode it hard and put it away wet.

The PO was a good friend of mine, who I thought took very good care of the car.

Turns out, he was more dedicated to work than the car, and he basically let the car go for 2 years (with the exception of oil changes)

Last summer, I had to rebuild the whole front end when the upper ball joint broke ($1K), got it all working, had to buy tires ($700).

This year, emissions forced me to replace the knock sensors, but since I had to pull the intake manifold to do that, I replaced the starter (because it's under the intake), a coolant sensor and all the injector seals ($1k)

I officially have more money into the car than I purchased it for.

In celebration of getting the car back together again, I washed it last weekend. I wanted to make sure that the coolant was all bled, so after the bath, I let it run...

The upper radiator hose clamp decided it didn't want to live anymore. The car didn't overheat, but now I'm not sure if the new denso radiator is still good.

It's always one step forward, two steps back.

And this concludes storytime with Chris.

Well... at least you didn't have to install 2 Mishimoto full aluminum radiators in a big truck within a month. Definitely not impressed with some of their products.

I would be ok with going back to horse & buggies. Working on cars sucks major donkey ass.

Chris, in the interests of you not putting your face through the radiator in a fit of rage just replace that thing now. Let me use my amazing psychic powers and tell you that the upper hose nipple thingabob on the radiator is brown plastic. It should be black plastic, brown plastic is plastic that's about to take a **** on you in a big way at the worst possible time.
