I'm looking for a new wheel and im not really sure how/where to go about it. New to imports, as this is my first one.

it depends what is your style, do you just want it to fit or do you want it flush or do you want it slammed. IDK what you're looking for.

It's on the extreme side of tire/wheel fitment, but you can use this information to extrapolate to your needs.

Want them to fit, feel good, be as flush as possible without modifications, and no hit to performance ( a gain in traction wouldn't hurt of course). so i want the biggest possible wheels with the widest possible rubber, and i want them to be as flush as i can without crazy spacers (5mm is acceptable but i don't want more because i want ZERO mods, not even extended stud), or rolling the fenders, or anything really. Buy the wheel rim combo, and get it shipped ot my door and put them on and drive.

Not crazy mechanically able besides your normal everyday car stuff.

Been getting very confused about offsets and such, looking for hopefully 18 inch rims, but will settle for 17s. i cant even really find examples of what some would look liek because most people have mods, or there car is lowered.

any help is much appreciated.

All of those say to roll the fenders, i dont know what happened to my reply i just sent to the other post, but i dont want any mods. or stretched tires. just regular old wheels and tires to bolt on and go.

If you don't want to roll fenders, that limits you a lot in size. You're giving up about an inch or so of track width in the rear without rolling. Front isn't as important since it essentially factory rolled.
Without stretching tires and without rolling, you'd probably be limited to a 7-7.5" max wheel width.

For an illustration, I have 17x8 +35 wheels and 235/45 tires. I had to roll the rear fenders and push back the tabs in the front fender. I used to have 215/40 tires on the same wheel with no clearance issues, but they were a bit stretched. 215/40 is more for a 7-7.5" wide wheel.
I plan on getting 17x8 +25 wheels with 10mm spacers in the rear soon (same tires). I will have to completely roll the fender and make sure the rear and front fender lips are folded back.

Will 18x7.5s with a 45 offset and 225/40/18 tires fit?

I cant find any specifics, just ideas, and unfortunately I'm not smart enough to extrapolate **** apparently.

I had 7.5” wide wheels once and they fit just fine. Same size tires, too. So yeah, that size should fit.

Just went and bought them, got them home and just propped them up next to my stocks and HOLY **** they do NOT look liek they will fit.....

There are plenty of members running 18s on here. What aspect of fit are you worried about? Diameter shouldn't be an issue.

18x7 +46 w/ 25mm spacer adapters = +21mm et

The tires were 215-40/18. I had to roll the front side of the rear wheel arches to avoid rubbing. The car was also pretty low, so that contributed to my issue.

I also have a question about wheel fitment.

I'm looking at ROTA D154 wheels. The specs are 16"x 8" with +20 mm offset. I probably plan on putting 225/45/16 tires on them.

I ran some calculation tests online on those wheel calculators and it said it will stick out 35 mm more than the stock wheels (205/55/15 tires on 15x7 +45mm offset)

Will these ROTA D154 wheels celica without modifications? I know they have a very low offset so I'm worried about them hitting my fenders when I go over a bump or something.

My celica is not lowered and is at stock ride height.

You'll likely hit the fenders with that offset, if you're not rolling them.
I ran 18x8+38, 225/40/18, lowered on tien s techs (so about an 1.4" in the rear) and i would rub the slightest bit over lager dips, without rolled fenders.

you really don't NEED to go with that wide of a wheel/tire. If you're not doing any racing (im assuming) like autocross or something similar, and you don't want to roll your fenders, 8" wide isn't necessary. Sure, it looks better, but you're pretty limited if you want to have a flush fitment without rolling the fneders. The two kind of contradict each other.

Thanks for responding!! Ok, I'll take your advice and will roll the fenders. One last question... What about the Enkei Compe wheels? The specs are 16"x 8" with +25 mm offset. After I roll the fenders, Do you think I will be able to fit these wheels on the celica? Again, I'm at stock height, not lowered.

That should be okay, but I would check over the two wheel fitment threads just to clarify.
There's on posted here, and another as well for a less aggressive, yet still flush fitment but I can't seem to find that thread at this time.

With that offset, tire selection may become a factor as well, but I can't recommend a tire size that would work
