Ah so it's an editing software and not a built in panoramic setting. The only camera I have is an old Canon PowerShot that's like 3 something megapixels, it's so old it was actually made in Japan. Now I just use the phone, pretty good photos and super convenient.
I've tried Linux in the past but I didn't find it to be any faster than Windows 7 after I went through everything, and the RAM and CPU draw was the same on the more fancy Linux systems. Only the basic Windows 95 looking Linux systems were about half the RAM draw, but I could strip 7 down and make it ugly and it'd probably fall in between the two. Since all my software is Windows it just makes sense to use that, might try out ubuntu studio though. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Xubuntu I left on there is pretty light, I think you'd like it.

Xubuntu I left on there is pretty light, I think you'd like it. I thought you must've removed it since it boots straight to Windows, guess I'll have to pay more attention when I restart it the next time. I am really liking this 7 Ultimate though over the plain 7, being able to customize the colours and sounds for the interface is nice. Everything is a nice purple now. ![]() -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

it's there, the GRUB boot menu flashes up for about 1 second and defaults to windows boot. just start tapping the down or up arrow key to get it to stop at the boot menu.

Wet Wednesday!
![]() Had to take mom over to pick her car up from the body shop, ended up right over $5,000 in hail damage, so figured should wash it since it'd been since waxing it that it had been cleaned. I think now that I have the garage I'll invest in water-less washing, the water here is terrible and it kicks my ass to have to wash it anyway and especially out in the heat. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Ordered some missing parts and pieces for my FMIC so I can run boost on the 3S-GTE Swapped 94 I picked up recently. Planning to reroute everything soon, but this gets me off to the exhaust shop to get a much needed DP back exhaust done.
My new project highOSilver will be back on the road in another week or two! |

I'm too OCD and crippled to own a black car. Washing it ruined it because milk of magnesia comes out of the tap, even borrowed some water-less wash&wax to see if that'd take care of it and while it diminished it they're still there... Sigh... Guess I'll have to clay bar and wax, again... *dies*

Get water spot remover, then build yourself an inline softener/filter for the washing hose, not hard to do with stuff from Amazon.

I looked and found where Meguiar's has one but they say it's for boat and RV use, being if it's ok for RVs I don't see where it'd pose an issue for cars though: https://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-M4716-Marin...r/dp/B0000AY3TA Actually I'm just going to start doing the water-less wash I think, then I can do it in the garage at my own pace. Biggest issue is these days by the time I'm done washing the car I'm dead and wiping the water off would require me being able to stop the evaporation process so that I can recuperate and get to it. At least with the water-less it's one step and if it takes me an hour to do it then that's perfectly fine.

Other companies make it for car use specifically.

Had this apparently that hadn't been opened: https://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-A3714-Compo...er+spot+remover It removed it about 95% on the spot I tested, but the effort involved might as well clay bar and re-wax it... I knew I should've just waited until I had bought some water-less wash&wax, but no... Unless washing it with distilled water and soap then rinsing with distilled water would get most of the spots off, then put it into the garage sopping wet so maybe I have enough time to dry it. Then get what's left with the spot remover. Just so frustrated... Never had this much of an issue with tap water.

Pull the car into the garage and blow it dry with a leaf blower then towel it dry the rest of the way. There's this gel stuff too...https://www.amazon.com/Eraser-Water-Spot-Remover-16/dp/B004BFW0EO/ pictures look promising.

Just need some distilled water, probably 4 gallons to be safe. 1 for the bucket and 3 to make sure the car is rinsed off. Thing is though you'd think water-less wash&wax and detail spray would be just as effective as washing again. Makes me think just freaking clay and wax again and then only use water-less wash&wax from now. Or I can just stop caring, if only it was that easy.

So started claying the car... At least this time I can use that clay mitt and won't have to be so intensive with since it was done so recently... If anything this time the waxing will be the hardest and longest part of it. But after I flipped the wipers up off the windshield there was a solid white line, looked like someone drew on it with chalk. I have never had tap water so full of minerals, apparently milk of magnesia was about right... That's ok, I think it's all the deposits are stuck in the wax since water spot remover didn't remove the spots without removing the wax... So instead of the Mother's wax will try this Turtle Wax Ice, yes I'm working my way through stuff they were getting rid of at Advance Auto... It was only 5 cents a tin since they were going to throw it away otherwise, stop judging. That's how I got the clay mitt too...
