That's how Daniel and I resurrected this meet all those years ago. We would come down, but with a new baby, it is what it is.

I'll bring Sophie (daughter), so hiking should be fun.

Soooo... I won't be able to make it. We realized that we have a birthday party that we can't miss. Damn!

Since there aren't many people coming, I think we should push this to mid/late September. Even if we were to do October, I think it would be cool, plus the leaves will be changing and it will be VERY pretty.

If anyone wants to go fossil hunting around Braidwood some weekend it could be a very nerdy mini-meet for hiking, fossil hunting, and dinner.

Well lets still do this with whoever want to show up. I'm still down. and Im down for another one in October too. C'mon lets do this .

Good fossil hunting out there? I have a small collection from Clifty Falls State Park that are pretty sweet, I'll have to bring them to the next meet.

I haven't been there enough to know yet, they're not typical fossils, you'll want to google about it before going there for sure.

Do it up if you want! That's the nice part about these meets... It's a communal effort. All you really need is Food, Fire, Drinks, and Friends.

Keep googling, there's better sites and guides. I've managed to figure out where to go around there. It mentions a form needed but heck if I can find one on any state website, if any DNR person asks for one I'll either play dumb or tell them I couldn't find it on the website or some ****, no biggie.

Sometimes making a meet thread is like a group text with friends trying to figure out if you all want to do something, but as the conversation goes on, everyone realizes they would rather just be lazy and stay in.
